So many goods about this place. 1. Great adaptive re-use of an old car-centric property. (Automotive garage) 2. The underground tiki bar with the entrance in the middle of the space is SOO COOL. I have yet to explore but I will. 3. The bar/coffee with healthy and light eats idea is a great one. It fits many lifestyles and allows for the business to have a variety of hours and clientele. My experience was, like many, centered around a business meeting. I met a gentlemen there who on the surface seems to have completely different ideals and political goals then myself. After chatting For a bit, I found him and I to have many similar goals and politically we align on many things. The sip staff was very astute and was aware of when to enter the convo. I had a power shake (on the menu) and my comarade had a featured IPA. All in all: great service, wonderful atmosphere for conversation and business, good food choices and good for day or night. I’ll be back.

There was a time, not so long ago, when a certain spot offered a breakfast sandwich that was more than just a meal; it was a comforting embrace at the dawn of a new day. The kind of sandwich that made you believe in the simple joy of a well-cooked egg nestled between fresh bread. But alas, those days have faded like the morning mist. Now, for the princely sum of $10, what you get is a melancholy echo of the past, a sandwich bereft of soul, zapped into a semblance of warmth by the merciless hum of a microwave. It's a culinary tragedy, compounded by the cruel bait of old photos that promise a feast which no longer exists. A sad testament to the decline of what once was a beacon of breakfast bliss.

EDIT: I wrote the owner Josh Katz about my experience at SIP and here is his last response:

OWNER Josh Katz: "Whatever Tickles your fancy Evee. If you can't accept that we took responsibility for your substandard experience then I'm not sure what else I can do for you. So, If you'd like to take more of your valuable time to finish out more of your story then I'm sure your fellow yelp'ers will enjoy it. And to be honest, I don't care about your one star review, I care about not having you in my establishment again. Deuces!"

My email to him prior: "I wanted to let you know, I am posting our conversation on social media. About your statement: "I feel because we made it again for you, the situation was corrected." I am not sure if I can accept it as a true apology and a willingness to improve your business. Please do not reply to me with further explanation. If you feel that I am wrong about the claim that your employee reused the ground coffee, please provide me and other viewers with the relevant footage or proof. Also, I want to make it clear that I do not want or expect any sort of compensation from you."

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We stopped by SIP today around 1-2PM. Tried their iced latte and americano and both were TERRIBLE!!! Turns out, they were recycling their ground coffee multiple times for different customers!?! My friend's americano was so watered down and the employee blatantly lied that they used 2 shots of espressos. They made a new one and the color was way darker the second time. This place needs to completely take coffee off their menu, or simply shut down! I have been to many coffee shops and sure, some places do not have the best coffee, but I have NEVER been to one like SIP where they are being completely dishonest to their customers with...

This is a super hipster joint. They nonchalantly ignore you so you beg for service! lol At least that is my experience but here is the deal. I did not know that it was counter only service. I DID know that they are dog friendly which being a big animal lover with 4 dogs that lives in the neighborhood is a big deal for me. I will throw my hard earned bucks to local establishments like this! I decided to go in today with one of my dogs and tried to get service which at first it was ok. I got a younger gentleman in which I was able to get his attention, then an older guy (Bryan) that I have seen my one other visit there before took over the bar area. Since I know I cannot walk in with my dog I tried to get his attention. Bryan saw me but obviously decided best to not ask me if I need any help or anything at all and talk to some folks (probably regulars) at the bar area and JUST IGNORE ME. I went back to my table upset and disappointed. I wanted to stay and have another drink and even order food but I decided against it. I expressed my feelings to him on the service. I told him it was an opportunity lost on their end. They had my card on hold as I was planning on staying longer and I asked for it back. He did comp me and I was appreciative of the fact- just wish it did not have to come to that.

I will give them another try...just hope the owner reads this and knows customer service...

The positive- cool space and I love that dogs are welcome inside and out.

The bad- early Sunday (10-11ish) they were out of several items on the menu. When I asked what something was, -Portuguese bread- neither barista had any idea. Shouldn't staff be able to explain the items on the menu? The male barista responded " I GUESS I could look it up." Utterly unhelpful.

The worst- my coffee tasted funny. After a few sips and realizing it wasn't my taste buds, I brought it back up and was given a new drink. Ok, cool.

After a few minutes one of the other people in my group said, "there's soap in my coffee!" and didn't drink it. She told the staff and they were utterly disinterested and didn't apologize. About 10 minutes later, I felt for the first time ever an immediate need to vomit that came out of nowhere. I started to make my way to the bathroom but couldn't make it. I vomited into the trash.

Turns out my cup had not been properly rinsed either and I drank a nice amount of soap, leading to my vomiting.

Needless to say, despite how cool it is to hang out with dogs, the service and the dining experience make it a never...
