Replying to @dominic taguinod Is this the best vegan spot in Phoenix? The Cornado Phoenix on 12th st is serving up delicious vegan food with a ton of options. This burrito was legit- flavorful and everything went smoothly together. 8.7/10. #azfoodie #azrestaurants #veganfood #azvegan #foodietok #foodreview #phoenixfood

Another sad review lol. Ive ordered delivery from The Coronado several times before and unfortunately, they progressively get worse and worse each time. I dont know if they are purposely trying to lose business (or if they just dont care) but they really thought sending me burnt pancakes and weird (sort of not cooked) fries was a good idea. They also usually give me extra butter when I ask in the order comments as there is no option to add additional butter via the delivery menu but this time, they literally wrote me a note saying I needed to pay for it/how to do that, which is fine as a reference for next time, but instead of just giving me the butter like they usually do, they sent me no butter and burnt pancakes lol! I picked at the pancakes but they were not edible lol. Maybe they cant handle the volume of business they get which is why the food quality has gone downhill. Its just bizarre that they took the time to write a note justifying their reasoning for providing bad service, but didn’t take the time to notice they were sending me burnt non-edible pancakes and their manager signed off on this! Terrible call lol! Either way, if their objective was to get me to stop purchasing from them then mission accomplished lol. Give them a try though because their food is cute and the place has a great vibe if you dine in! Your food just might be burnt! Enjoy 😉

I recently had an incredible dining experience at this plant-based Mexican restaurant! From start to finish, everything was delicious and creatively prepared. We started with the fried guacamole, and it was a total game-changer. The crispy outer layer paired with the creamy guacamole inside was an unexpected but fantastic twist on a classic dish. For the main course, we tried both the cauliflower burrito and the tacos. The cauliflower burrito was a real highlight—it was perfectly roasted, with a smoky, slightly spicy flavor that balanced well with the fresh veggies. The wrap was soft and fresh, and every bite was packed with flavor. As for the tacos, they were equally impressive. The fillings were vibrant and flavorful, with well-seasoned veggies, fresh salsa, and just the right amount of heat. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant itself had a relaxed and vibrant vibe, perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. Whether you’re vegan or just exploring plant-based options, this place will not disappoint. It’s a fresh take on Mexican cuisine that leaves you full and satisfied, without missing the meat! Highly recommend!

Just want to start by saying, your food is amazing and I really enjoyed it and have before, and is the reason I’m not giving one star… but I was in this past weekend and had a less than pleasant time.

I witnessed what looked like management fighting with staff and it was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. From my table you could see a man raising his voice at another employee. Aside from that one instance, your service in general is not great.

It was my first time in at the new spot, and although the format and prices have changed accordingly to this new level of restaurant quality, it seems service has not. It is obvious to anyone who has worked in the restaurant industry that your servers are not being taught properly how to take care of tables and stagger tickets (from my table I could see the panic and stress of your kitchen staff too) I was told by my server that one of my dishes had to be made on the fly after waiting 40 mins when a majority of our other food arrived well before.

I drove from Mesa on my night off to have what I thought would be a really enjoyable time for my first visit at the beautiful new spot and I left feeling disappointed and feeling bad for your staff. For a place so proud of their values to treat employees like that in front of guests was jarring.

The food is SO good but the new spot is a mess to anyone in the industry who observes. It really seems like your staff is not being properly trained to take on the new format and that should be the responsibility of your management and shouldn’t be taken out on staff in front of all of your customers to see.

I was sitting on this for a few days and hate to say anything bad but it really must be said because I expect better...

Just got home from a disappointing brunch/lunch. We made reservations 2 days ago. While making reservations, I was asked if we wanted inside or outside seating. I specially asked on the call if this was guaranteed or a preference. Was told it was guaranteed. I asked for outdoor seating, and followed up by confirming their patio was dog friendly. I confirmed we'd be bringing two dogs. Fast forward to today, we get there and are told our table is inside. Was initially told we'd need to sit inside and our outside table was given away. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation. Very much felt like we were getting a lot of attitude for no reason. Embarrassing experience, especially considering this was a brunch we invited four friends to and they're now witness to the host essentially accusing me of lying about our reservation. Zero apology and no recognition of their error when I recounted my conversation when making the reservation. Ultimately, a manager "approved" us pushing together tables outside to make something work -- a solution we suggested. Needed to sit in open sun for our whole meal (outdoor tables are covered by umbrellas). Our waiter was great, food was okay (definitely better vegan options in town, but not bad). But very awkward experience. Very much felt there were conversations happening about our party inside. This manager never appeared to apologize. Just a disappointing experience. Not a place that seems to value treating customers fairly, let alone treating them well (or really as more than anything but an inconvenience). Will not be returning, would...

The good: prices, interior, quality of the food, mask-wearing by staff The bad: the service

I hope I just had a bad experience and that the restaurant usually does better. I went in right when they opened on a Saturday by myself. I was immediately sat and given water. My server came to the table shortly after and I ordered. My drinks came right away and I watched for the next 30 minutes as the staff chatted, ate food, and used their phones while I waited for my sandwich I ordered. Another table had walked in and already got their food. When my server finally came back to check on me, he said "Did you already eat your food?" and I told him I never got it. He went back to the computer and I think put my order in? He said it would just be another couple minutes. I waited another 10 and another server finally brought it out. No one checked on me once while I was eating. No one apologized for the wait. However, when I got the bill, my latte wasn't on there. I don't know if this was a mistake or someone trying to make up for the error with my sandwich? I went with it.

I wish someone would have communicated with me about the situation. I wish someone would have checked on me as I wanted to order some breakfast potatoes and a cup of coffee. The food was delicious. The mimosa was huge, warranting the $10 price tag. The latte was perfect. However, I won't be back and I won't be recommending this restaurant to...
