Sushi Mocorito Restaurante — Restaurant in Phoenix

Came here to celebrate my birthday with a late lunch w/ my kids and my friend and her kids. We saw the great reviews but after leaving here we won't be coming back. Reason why I'm guessing people who have been here are either workers here or friends trying to keep their reviews afloat here. We were the only people in the whole restaurant no need to wait on us or anything. Girl comes over takes our drink order comes back with two cups of soda which was clearly carbonated water. I asked her to check her machine because this was clearly not soda. she goes and checks and inspects the drink as if I don't know what soda looks like huh. go figure right. Then she takes the drinks away and doesn't even ask if I want an alternative drink (canned soda). when the new waitress arrives she has this look on her face like she don't want to be there and rushes us with our order. Umm hellooo there is no one else to wait on why the rush. Rude! She goes away brings the basket with the sauces and just places it on the table looking at us like we did something wrong, at that point I wanted to leave but my friend had drove down here to celebrate my birthday. The vibe was horrible, the rolls were great, the rice was so so, the beans tasted like something from out the can and burnt. Not good. In the end we paid for the drinks we never drank (carbonated water) and left a tip even tho our waitress was rushing us and rude faced. We were excited to try something new and ended up hating it. Better off at Señor Sushi. I'm just saying! Give better service that is why customers keep coming back besides the food. It's quality not...

I can't speak for the food but I can say that they lie about their hours!. I called at 9:30 since their facebook page, google, and their personal website says they close at 10:00. Spoke to Christina at the 35th avd and glendale location. She explained to me that they close at 10 so they no longer were accepting dine in orders. Which i can understand. I asked if one can still place a to go order. And she stated that was okay. So i explained i was literally 5 minutes away she said that was fine. I get there to find the doors to be locked. And I called she answered the phone asked if I was the one at the door laughed and waved and said sorry they were closed. I stated she should have told me that before we hung 4 mins earlier she said she was sorry but everything was closed. Like i understand wanting to leave on time but if your establishment has certain hours adertised and you know someone is headed to your establishment common courtesy to keep the doors open! I got there within the 5 minutes i had said I would be there. I would have loved to try the sushi after seeing great reviews but probably won't be visiting this...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would . The service was awful , took an hour for my order to be ready .The girl that took our order was so rude and kept making some ugly faces .When we asked how long our food was going to take we only got attitude .I work at a food place .There was a lot of things they were doing, that if a health inspector came in they would fail . Grabbing ice from the ice machine putting the cup inside .Girls from the kitchen coming in and out with the gloves they were cooking from in the back . I’m pretty sure they didn’t change them out by the way . If you dont want to work around people get another job.The girl that was there had literally the ugliest gestures ever on her face . My horchata was disgusting .They barely put any ice in it . Need new employees the service was awful . First and last time...
