Went in during lunch the place was empty. I thought great hot food good service. Was seated immediately. The hostess was really nice, greeted with a smile. The server came up not long after taking our drink order and had to come back for our order because they changed the menu, so I wanted to look it over. Everything was great up to that point. She dropped off the food, and the English muffin was cold when she set it on the table. Then there is a hair on my eggs. I told her she said oh I'll have them remake it but she took the sasuage and bacon with her also. I figured she was just going to have them remake the whole plate. While doing so, she dropped off my French toast. I ordered a strawberry banana. Says they ran out of banana is just strawberry, ok? It already had the strawberries on it, so I ate it that way cause I didn't want to wait for them to make New since they put the strawberries on without asking about it first. Then she comes back with my eggs, same sasuage same bacon ice cold. At that point, I gave up. It was a struggle to get napkins extra butter and water refills while there. The server seemed preoccupied with sitting on the bench by the window and when she would come ask if we were ok she would ask but Start walking off while we answered so it would take us having to say wait a min can we have something. Read more5/16/2019 update - visited for lunch with my daughter today because she really loves IHOP. Ordered pretty much the same stuff that took an hour last time and it was on our table within 10 minutes. I was quite shocked. Not sure if it's a new manager or what but I was impressed. If this upward trend continues I'll add another star each visit.
I gave this place a positive review last year but it's really gone downhill since then. My last few visits have been less than satisfying, mostly due to SLOW service. My family went there last Saturday evening and only a handful of tables were occupied. Nevertheless, it took well over one hour to get our food. Once it finally came, we were elated but our excitement was short-lived. They failed to bring us any silverware and when we brought it to the waiter's attention, it took him nearly ten minutes to get it. Now our barely warm food wss cold. My pancake order was wrong but I told the waiter not to bother fixing it because I didn't want to wait another hour. I also had to ask him twice to refresh our drinks (a decent waiter doesn't have to be asked) and even that took a while. We left with more than double the patrons in the place from when we arrived with no additional crew in sight, so I felt sorry for them knowing what they were in store for. I won't go back...
Read moreI don’t even know where to start. There’s never a host up front so we wait a good few minutes before someone from the kitchen notices us or before someone finally comes out of the kitchen to bring us to our table.
It takes servers forever to come to our table to get our drinks/food orders. Then when we do order it takes a good 45 minutes before we actually get our food, which is sometimes cold. I could see the food taking longer if the restaurant is actually busy but every time I’ve gone there’s been maybe one or two other tables in there and it still takes about 45 minutes to get our food. Insane. Which I know I can’t blame the wait of the food on the servers since it’s the kitchens fault, and they do have a few servers who are attentive with their tables but some are not. Some of the servers have very obviously been outside smoking a cig or hitting the vape before coming to check on us, if they do bother to check on us.
To add to this there’s been times when I’ve heard the servers loudly talking negatively about customers about the amount of tip that’s been left, a mess that’s been made, etc after the customers has left, which if you’re going to do that make sure other customers can’t hear what’s being said.
