North 11 Diner — Restaurant in Picayune

Terrible, Terrible! I wish I had pictures to accompany this review because words wont do it justice. Obviously we had been here before as I have reviewed this place in the past and gave it a good rating. But today we went for lunch and were sorely disappointed. I ordered the eggplant appetizer and it came out after a short time. Immediately I noticed the appearance was different from the last 2 times I had ordered it but decided to try it anyway. The breading was crumbly and overcooked, falling off of the eggplant as soon as it was cut into. Upon tasting it I noticed a strange taste to the eggplant which I couldn't place, it was distinctly noticeable even thought the breading had an overwhelming greasy taste. Finally when our food arrived I informed the waitress of my disappointment with the dish and she went to tell the manager. Shortly she returned and said that the cook had said there had been some issues with the cooking of it and that the eggplant had been frozen and was probably Freezer Burned. At this point I was extremely disgusted with it and asked to speak to the manager to have it removed from our bill. Long story short, the manager never came, we had to leave, and never even received an apology. Safe to say that We Will Never Eat...

TERRIBLE!! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!! so let me paint this picture for you guys. I do not usually rate this harshly, but this place... So, we ordered our food at 10:05 (5 minutes after they opened). They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. Well, I'm patient so we waited about 25 minutes. We went in and people were placing their orders in the line. Cool cool. Ten minutes go by, then 20 then 30. This whole time, people that had been placing orders waaaay after we did were all getting their food and leaving. We stood there a couple more minutes and then asked where our food was. This was after we paid almost 40.00 for 2 plates, so there was no leaving. The lady got very snarky and suuuper rude, like she was bothered by us asking where our food was. After an hour and 15 minutes they brought us the food out, didn't say a word and shoved it in my friends hand. The food was cold and absolutely awful. We will never eat here again. I would rate a Five. Great food. One of our favorite places to eat. Seems like I'm waiting over 30 minutes or more for take out. 2 days ago it was 45 minute to get my take out order. While I'm sitting and waiting and didn't complain once. I've noticed others walking in eating in were served immediately. Then others walking in 15 after me with to go orders got their food before me. If I ordered something different besides lunch special I can see waiting. I was asked by employee as well as owner what I was waiting on my order. Still sitting, n waiting. I've tried even going after lunch rush is over. I still wait a long period. Maybe give a Free drink something if your waiting over 30 minutes or longer. Is it just me n bad luck. Maybe I need to dine in. Otherwise very friendly staff n great food.
