I've heard from friends that Full Plate was fantastic. So when I had a chance to get to pickens, I was looking forward to stopping in.

I'm SO glad I did! Not only are the crepes delicious, but the staff and owner were amazing! They went into detail about any questions or history about the menu items (Paw Paw crepes, for example) that not only a delicious experience, it was a learning experience!

It's not a huge place, so it can get full quickly. Some outdoor seating is available, too.

There were three of us on our visit, and after checking out Full Circle antiques, located at the front of the building, we walked to the back where Full Plate is located.

After looking at the menu and daily specials posted, the owner came over and asked if we had any questions. One of the daily specials was Paw Paw crepes. I've heard of Paw Paw but wasn't sure if it was the fruit or some sort of name they had given something. It was indeed the fruit. And they had brought them in locally, too. I think from their own property, if I recall correctly. So after she told us about the history and importance of the Paw Paw to the area, I definitely had to try one!

Other items we ordered were the Say Cheese crepe, kinda self explanatory there lol. Monte Cristo crepe, nicely prepared ham, cheese, powdered sugar and something with a bit of heat. That was a good combination. Sawmill crepe, local sausage gravy and I added a poached egg. I'd make that my goto plate! Although with so many interesting items, I'd have to try them first! Next was dessert, the Suzette. Yum! Crepe with orange liquor and vanilla ice cream! It definitely has Creamsicle vibes.

Lastly the side order of hashbrowns are not to be forgotten! Mississippi hashbrowns I believe is what they called them. We liked them so much we had to get an extra order.

Look forward to...

Amazing doesn't begin to describe this place! The food here is absolutely the best you will find. Even better is that it's gluten free, but delicious, scrumptious gluten free (we've all had the cardboard-esque stuff that's out there so this is an amazing treat). Oh...and there are baked goods... gluten free baked goods - every morsel of which will make your soul smile. The ingredients are local which means the tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes (imagine, tomatoes with intense color and flavor)! The atmosphere is so welcoming - eat at a table or cuddle up on the couch, totally your choice. To top it off, the owners and staff are lovely! Everyone who has helped us has been tremendous. There is one lady (Karen?), who actually grows some of those incredible tangy, tomato-flavored tomatoes, who is quite possibly the nicest, most helpful, sweetest human on the planet. This is worth the drive from anywhere and since the menu seems to change with what's in season, I suggest making the trip on a regular basis! We...

Can't wait to return!!!! **Disclaimer: You should always try/experience a place for yourself. This review is just my personal opinion.

Once a VERY quaint "bakery" (under a different name and owner), this "store" was cut off from it's conjoined business space. BUT NOW, entering the antique boutique Full Circle from it's Main Street entrance, you can smell goodies from an unseen place. Follow your nose STRAIGHT BACK, and you've suddenly been "teleported" to a delightful Crêpery (in Pickens, SC no less). This establishment is an expertly executed blend of Grandma's Kitchen and a humble street-fair in France.

What We Had:

WILD BÉCHAMEL (wild mushrooms--today's were Lion's Mane and Shitake--and spinach in a creamy béchamel sauce)

the BLT (Local tomatoes, nitrate-free bacon, lettuce, and a house-seasoned Duke's Mayonaise)

My Thoughts/Rating: These both were an easy 5 stars!! If we're going by a One Bite scale (see YouTube), I'd give them each a 9.8 without a blink. We will DEFINITELY be...
