New barbeque place. Menu is a choice of 4 or 5 types of BBQ meat with sides and dessert of your choice. Good variety. Good portions. I had chopped pork. It had a little too much fat in it for my taste. Every other bite was fatty. My companions had ribs and they liked them. The atmosphere was basic order at counter and they deliver to the table. We were asked if we needed anything several times.

Chris, the owner, was very polite and informative. The food was great. Southern BBQ with a twist. Brisket was on point, fried green tomatoes just like grandma would make, and the smoked chicken and dumplings what? And let's talk about the shrimp etouffee...amazing. If you are tired of regular BBQ, come check this place out. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

My buddy Rodney and I, visited for the first time and were greeted with Southern hospitality and Delicious 🤤 barbecue. I had the Pulled pork sandwich, and Rodney had the Ribs and pulled pork plate 🍽️. Both sides SLAW, & Beans and dessert was Banana pudding 🍮. Treat yourself and bring the family. Get your Business lunches and Meetings catered with good recipe Barbecue neighbors.

We happened to drive through Pickens around lunch time and stopped for lunch at The Porkette on the basis of other Google reviews. We love little family run places like this as they often have food that is better than the exterior would indicate. We 2 adults shared a Mister Pig Plate which came with choice of meat (we picked the pulled pork), 2 sides, a roll, and dessert (chose the cookie). The pulled pork and onion rings were outstanding and the available sauces are house made and very good. The macaroni and cheese is kid friendly, but nothing special and the cookie was just a cookie. Had we known in advance how good the pork was, we would probably have gotten the brisket which is prepared Texas style, but the pork was delicious, plentiful, and very lean so no regrets.

I’m giving 5 stars because the important part of the meal was very good, the onion rings were excellent, and the owner was genuinely interested in what we thought of the meal. It was a very pleasant, friendly place to have lunch and was a very good value both in quantity and quality. If we weren’t just traveling through, we would definitely be back to try the other...

Came in late Friday night about 30 mins before close. Staff was kind and helpful, service was amazing always checking if we needed anything even though they were closing up. Awsome service and awesome food, tried all their sauces and idk what they put in that vinegar but it was awesome. I'm very picky when it comes to my food but the portions were huge, the food was fantastic, and all reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone and I hope they don't close down cause the definitely deserve to become a Pickens staple and be on the...

This place just opened up and started serving about 2-3 weeks ago. Here's my assessment... this restaurant is not fooling around when it comes to high quality, delicious over the top BBQ.!!! I've lived in S. Fla. most of my adult life, point being they have a lot of superb restaurants down there, and I tend to be fairly picky about eating out. This place is a Bigfoot, slamdunk, TAKE A VICTORY lap, win by KO, establishment!!! The food was exceptional. 5 stars for real. So glad we stopped in there and gave...
