Where to start this place is an all time favorite for good tacos not only for me but my whole big family .. my fav is the asada, lengua, cabeza all with fresh onion & cilantro the green and red salsa are just perfect with the tacos ...my son says for him this place has the best burrito al pastor- (unfortunately he has has gotten sick eating at other places) I do find the tamale de dulce with champurado or atole to my liking the cheese & Chile are good too they are not dry or to sweet I hope you try and enjoy this restaurant when in California... I truly wish we had a King Taco out here ..it is one of the places I really miss out here in Nevada (when some is coming in town we ask to have them bring food from there yes it taste good even from that long trip🙂)

I noticed the staff has become much friendlier and the service is better than before. The food still tastes just as delicious as always. Maybe because of the current economy, there seem to be fewer customers than before. I remember avoiding this place in the past because even asking for an extra sauce felt difficult, but this time everyone was very friendly and made the meal comfortable. As for the taste, isn’t this place number one when it comes to tacos? In the end, kindness and fair pricing are the most important elements that keep both a restaurant and its customers coming back for the long run.

The line outside took about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the register and then they tell us there's another 30 to 40 minutes to get our food. They're short staffed so that's understandable. BUT! The food was not worth it, it smelled bad and I got the runs after. Never going back, maybe they made good food in the past but this was nasty. Be sure to stand near a speaker because that's how they call your order when it's ready. If you're still down to go though, I recommend buying the huge drink to sip on while you wait because you'll finish the smaller size one.

I really contemplated leaving this review, because I have loved king taco for more than 30years and I figured they must know how bad there food has gotten over the last 2 years, because I know for fact they have several regulars that have also been going to king taco for years. So, for the last year I have ordered food from the pico restaurant about 4 times and each time I have said, never again. It started with the downsize in the burrito, then the tacos and now the quality of taste and resize to an even smaller burrito with a horrible new brand of tortilla, which immediately tears apart once you open it up to re-wrap it, because of the lack of meat, beans, and rice inside of it. They food inside the burrito literally swims itself outside of the tortilla, hence the rewrap. Today however I tried and tried to rewrap and the tortilla just kept coming apart..on all sides, so I had to hold it together with the actual tin foil. Today was the final straw it took me 5min of try to.deal with cleaning up and rewrapping that by the time I got my first bite in, I remembered why I said the last time that I would not order king taco anymore and that was because of no flavor 😝 so disappointing, especially at their new higher price. I knew the founder and some of his grandkids and I hope they read the reviews because I'm sure they and their grandfather would be ashamed of the product some of the restaurants are putting out today. After today I surely will not be ordering from or visiting the Pico store any longer, because like I mentioned earlier this is the 4th time in a year that I've wasted 30 dollars on a burrito and tacos that pale in comparison to our local street vendors on whittier blvd. So, Thank you...

Honest review...I was looking forward to coming here listening to all the hype from my friends who are from LA area. I live in San Diego and am familiar with the numerous taco shops down here. The place was packed, long line but we only waited about 10mins. Every seat was taken but once we ordered we were able to find a seat. We waited 30mins for our food which seemed excessive considering all the people cooking back there. I ordered a Sope with carnitas, 2 tacos with al pastor and Carne asada and the nachos with chicken (see pics). I was really looking forward to some good nachos. Huge disappointment! There was boiled chicken and cheese whiz (see pic) or whatever it was on it. GROSS! That was it! Um, where's the lettuce, tomatoes, guac etc??? They were not good at all. Tacos were as expected and yes small but they are street tacos so that's normal. I probably liked the sope the best. All the meats had good flavor but presentation was, meh. And their salsas were another HUGE disappointment. The red salsa was not the typical homemade deep red hot sauce that is so much better. You could tell it was a bottled hot sauce like Valentina's or something close to it. The green salsa was better, but I usually like the red salsa more. Honestly, I would not come back again or recommend for...

The wait here is always so longgggg. I literally went here on a Thursday night, and the line was wrapped around the inside of the store and out the door. A lot of my friends don't like king taco because they don't think its authentic tacos, but honestly, their taco beats a lot of the pricier onces in bougie stores so its honestly a win in my book. I love their taco and burritos. Their salsa is amazing but unfortunately they do limit on the amount you can get for free.

This location probably have the longest wait time compare to the other ones surprisingly despite it being one of the bigger stores compare to locations such as pasadena.

I waited about 45 minutes in line followed by another 30 minutes to get my order. I took some home to go for the next day, it was still good after reheating, but honestly if you don't have the time its not worth it. But I just have days where I go, -I am craving king tacos.

There is plenty of parking since its a shared plaza, just make sure if you have somewhere to be, get there early so you have ample...
