Motel 6 Pico Rivera, CA - Los Angeles — Hotel in Pico Rivera

The property manager made me feel unsafe. he was not wearing a name tag. but I can describe him. he's about 6'3" muscular built receiving hairline in his mid 40s. our last night was the 15th. on that night it was raining so my companion and I were having a smoke by inbetween the staircase and a storage unit so we could be sheltered by the rain. We had finished our cigarette already just standing there looking up at the rain when we noticed the manager coming straight to us as he approaches us he ask if we had a room there and I replied yes my name is Gail Billy in room 123. He then turns his focus to my boyfriend and says that they don't appreciate shady characters walking around their property looking at the cameras. (It has been raining all day and my BF was wearing his hoodie BIG WOW ) and that he wants him off the property I then spoke up and said EXCUSE me why would he do that? I then ask my BF and he said no he didn't. (but either way its not illegal to look up at camera and walk around the property) my BF gets restless and has to take a stroll. there nothing wrong in it. my BF checked in with me on day1 why does he need to get off the property now? then he said and I've been watching you guys smoke on camera and this is a non smoking building. I then said I know it is ( a smoke free building) and we usually smoke in the doggie area but sir can you be a lil understanding its raining. He said NO I said okay well where do we smoke? he then points to the parking lot where there's no shelter or anything. I said ok so just smoke in the rain. manager started to repeat himself on how this is a smoke free building and blah blah blah. I said I get that we aren't even smoking anymore The manager said Yeah you guys were I watched you on camera. I said I'm not denying that we were. I'm telling you that we aren't any longer and if I may tell you that we wont smoke near the staircase or by the building the MANAGER interrupts me and tells me NO I then said WHAT DO YOU MEAN I cant tell you. the manager started to repeat the same thing he told me 3 or 4 times already on how its a smoke free building and we cant be by the staircase etc. I SAID sir I heard you loud and clear the first few times I can even repeat back to you what you just said. I do not need to stand here and hear you out one more time and the manager got upset because he said you know what you two are going to get rolled out of here you're not letting me speak. I said dude you told us 2 too many times I'm beginning to feel harassed and the manager begins to get on his phone I said I did let you speak I can even repeat to you what you said to show you I heard you. He walks away and I follow him repeating the rules he told me how this is a smoke free building and there's no smoking near the staircase and if we must have a smoke we must smoke in the middle of the parking lot. the manager said for us to get our stuff together cuz were going to be getting kicked out. by this time there were a few guest coming out to see what all the commotion was all about. I was mortified. WE returned to our room and I was feeling unsafe my anxiety was gripping me in a near death hold . worried that any minute we were going to be getting a knock on the door. and escorted out in the rain. I called the motel 6 complaint number to report what had just happened but when she said that the report would be submitted to the property manager I then told her no do not submit it, what if I submit this complaint then they kick us out , so that needs to be changed . thankfully the knock never came and we checked out on the 16th I'm still waiting on my 50$ deposit to be returned the bathtub didn't drain for nothing tv and wifi had...

We decided to take our chances here since the reviews aren't too bad, and it was a pretty cheap price. Not sure if we didn't have luck on our side or what?? However, this place is horrible, there were stains on the bed covers, the towels aren't fluffy at all, I think my dogs towel at home is way fluffier than the ones they have. Every time we did get a new set of new towels put in our room they ALWAYS had some type of stain. The wall in the bathroom had dried up blood, there was tape on the flooring as if they had just finished a paint job but left the tape behind. We drove from CO to CA, just wanted to sleep and they denied both of our dogs to stay in the hotel, they DO NOT have a no pet policy on their website. So if you take your pets with you during your vacation, this is NOT a place for you. In the middle of the night there are a few sketchy people outside of the motel asking you for cigarettes as you're trying to get to your room. They also do not have "do not disturb" signs that you hang on your door, therefore, the one day that we did want to stay in and sleep a little later we were woken up. The lighting to where the bathroom mirror is at is absolutely horrible. You will have a hard time trying to put on makeup because the lighting is garbage. This has been by far the worst place I have ever stayed at, I normally don't do reviews, but if I can help prevent someone from having a horrible experience, especially coming from another state to vacation, this is worth it. It's honestly not worth the money...

This place is TRASH!! And I mean it literally. My boyfriend and I went down were from Oregon. We came down for vacation. Not only was it horrible but they have bed bugs. I got bitten all over I have bed bugs going from my hands, to my arms, to my back and legs and feet. It’s so bad. I even got a severe allergic reaction to the point my legs and feet are so swollen I can’t even walk. When we called to ask for some sort of refund for our trouble they were EXTREMELY RUDE!! And hung up on us with no refund nothing not even an apology. Super rude people. Despite the pictures that I still have on my phone. This was truly the worst experience ever I am out of work for over two weeks now because of my allergic reaction and they didn’t care one bit. This place is horrible do not stay there! Also realize bed bug bites take from hours to WEEKS for the bites to show up. Everyday more are showing up. And it’s in zig zag lines with white heads in the middle. IF I could I would totally post pictures. This place was truly horrible and couldn’t even give us some sort of refund for all the pain and agony I’m having to go thru the bites also take weeks to MONTHS to clear up... how disgusting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND DO NOT...
