2-stars because we were forced to buy 2 drinks ($5 after tax) that we did not want. The buffet pricing is listed without the cost of the drink, and the drink price is listed as an additional $2.39. When the cashier rang us up and gave me the total, I told her, "Oh, we didn't want drinks, just water." She informed us that because the drinks were on a fountain and available to everyone, she had to charge us regardless.
The deception of the pricing on their sign is that a drink purchase is NOT optional, yet there is nothing stating that fact. If we wanted to eat here, we had no choice but to pay for drinks we didn't want.
If the drink is not optional, then it should be included in the buffet price, not listed separately and forced upon the customer who was misled by the listed prices.
The food was good, you can special order pizza if they don't have what you want on the pizza bar, and the staff was friendly, BUT we don't plan on ever eating at a Mr. Gatti's again because of the...
Read moreFull disclosure, I didn't eat here. I had been on the road for 4 hours straight and needed a place to stretch my legs a bit. So when I saw the "games" advertising, I popped in. I talked to 2 people and both were really friendly!! The lady at the entrance kindly answered all my questions about the game room and the ticket attendant was a real joy to talk to.
I do say that charging a dollar for the games card really peeved me. Maybe if I was local and keeping my card it wouldn't have been a big deal, however I was passing through, so it was basically a dollar charge, just for the privilege of paying to play games. Also, they charged tax on the 7 dollars I paid. I don't know if that was the restaurant's fault though, so maybe I can't be mad about that.
I will point out that the selection of games is a great variety and again reiterate the friendliness of the staff, just be aware that your 5 dollars in games will be a bit more....also my niece loved the punch...
Read moreWe visited Saturday & it looked like a tornado had ran through the dining areas. We couldn’t find a clean table to sit at. The “bus your own tables” evidently isn’t very effective. The “bussing stations” were nasty with food hanging out of the tiny trash can that’s provided for CUSTOMERS to dump their plates. There was trash & food in the floor EVERYWHERE. We had to have an employee wipe off a table for us to sit because it was filthy. We didn’t even go to the game area because of how bad it was in the dining room. The only time a manager came around was to make sure we understood to clean our own tables. Not to ask how things were or anything. Terrible experience. There was absolutely no social distancing at the buffet, half the people didn’t even wear the gloves provided, most didn’t wear their masks above their nose. We’ve visited several times & the dining areas haven’t been this bad. If you’re short staffed, you don’t need to be open at...
