My first time here and very disappointed for multiple reasons, unfortunately. I work night shift this week and wanted to stop to pick up food on my way into the hospital. I ordered over the phone and explained that I wanted 2 gyros with no tomatoes and sauce on the side. (These were going into the fridge to eat later as well, that’s why on the side to avoid being soggy). The sauce was not on the side and there were tomatoes on it. So now I’m anxious to see if they’re too nasty to eat. The prices on the website were not what I was charged. I was charged a whole extra $2 PER gyro (that wasn’t even made correctly), $1.50 extra for fries and probably extra for sides of ranch that tasted so sour that I did not use. I got a fountain drink to go and when I went over to the machine after I had already overpaid for everything, you can clearly see the machine has not been cleaned today but honestly looked like it was never cleaned at all. There was no ice and 3/4 drinks I tried did not have any syrup in it. The entire experience was truly just disgusting and I will never go back or recommend. The food was good for the most part but all the sauce, that I didn’t even want on it, just drowned the whole sandwich. In total I spent $34 and I’m so annoyed because I knew I should have just went to my usual but wanted to try something new. Also, there was nobody there dining, one girl waiting for extra sauce apparently but seemed like she was being ignored and they were rushing.. not sure why? I know I can’t see all the orders but I was also the only pick up order there. Maybe you should slow down and pay attention to the customer so you don’t get a bad review and ruin...

I went to The Gyro Shop Saturday after a craving for gryos hit me hard on Friday afternoon. It was easy to find and get to and placing an order over the phone for takeout was easy peasy.

I got the traditional gyro platter and was excited to dig in (which I did while sitting in my car in the parking lot). The meat was very tender and juicy without being overly greasy. The flavor could have been a bit stronger but overall it was enjoyable. The pita was top notch and I honestly could have downed at least two of them without batting an eye. Fluffy, fresh, deliciousness! The only part that was a letdown for me was the tzatziki sauce. It was thin and on the runny side but, most importantly, lacked flavor. Had it been thick and flavorful it would have made my meal.

The fries that it came with were fine. Basic freezer french fries but they were fried nicely.

The salad that rounded out the platter was made with honestly the freshest, crispiest greens I've had in a very long time and the tomatoes were juicy and flavorful. Definitely some of the best produce I've had recently. A very unexpected surprise! I'd be willing to be a gyro salad is a solid option from this place.

The portion size was quite generous and I actually ended up sharing the fries and then saving the salad later that evening.

All in all it was a decent lunch and it hit my spot. I'd be willing to try it again but will likely check out another local-ish option first just for comparison before...

Honestly I wish I could give 10 stars out of 5. This place was phenomenal. Me and a friend came in last week for a bite to eat. We were INSTANTLY greeted. Upon looking at the menu I told the fella up front that I'm going to order my gyro first because my friend is very picky when it comes to gyro sauce (she wanted to try the sauce from my order first). The gentleman behind the counter WITHOUT batting an eye said "hold on one second". I thought he ran over to the fryer to pull fries out or something, NOPE! He had a little tray with gyro meat and gyro sauce in it so my friend could sample it before I EVEN PLACED MY ORDER!!! She loved the sauce so we both proceeded to order a gyro. Our food was DELICIOUS! The added feta to the gyro really brought it to another level. Let me say this, I've had gyros ALL OVER Pennsylvania. This place blows them out of the water when it comes to the taste buds haha. The pita was so fresh it tasted like they made it from scratch an hour before we got there. Absolutely phenomenal customer service and food. We will be back! This is now our...

Looking for a quick lunch place in the area, we saw that this place was open and stopped in. It's a pretty bare bones operation with standard offerings displayed on a menu board. We noticed that current prices are different than what was posted on their website (prices are higher now). There was one employee doing everything from cooking to serving. He was efficient and nice and took care of the steady stream of customer and orders we saw while we were there. We got the traditional sandwiches and they were exactly what we expected to get. The meat was scraped off the spit and the sauce was seasoned with oregano. A nice and quick lunch, but nothing extraordinary.

My favorite place to eat. Always have a great meal, great service, and great conversations with the guys behind the counter. I come in with an empty belly and leave with my belt unbuckled and looking like I’m pregnant!! The fries are served super hot. The grilled chicken is awesome!! You have to try it!! Brett, Tylor and Chad are really nice, helpful and I enjoy sitting at the counter watching them fill all the orders. (The other guys are great to but they were not there when I came in this time.)

Food was pretty tasty, I got the grilled chicken gyro. Cooked well and good sauce. Service was mids, but straight to the point isn’t really a bad thing, just not very welcoming. Atmosphere was not very good. all tables had crumbs, there was some weird gunk on the walls in some places, and the seats were pretty much broken, but work well enough to sit in for 20 mins to eat. Overall I won’t be back to dine in, but if I really want a gyro in the area the take out might still be an option.
