Been coming here infrequently for almost 20 years. The owners are lovely, the man is like a stern dad & his wife is a beautiful ray of sunshine. I love them both. I'm Puertorrican from the island and have always been very happy with the food especially considering they don't put pork products in any of their foods except for the obvious pernil & the pasteles that I buy for my mom. I can always count on them to provide amazing food and warm service.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you likely get the service you deserve...if you go in there with an entitled attitude I can't imagine you getting the warmest service & I respect that they don't put up with less. This place is my first choice for Puertorrican food always. Even when I have Cuban friends over this is who we buy from & they've been...

I walked into this restaurant on Monday 1-04-2021 and was told as soon as I walked in by a man leaning against a pole, saying I know you have a service animal but no dogs allowed. I was shocked and said well I wanted carry out " BUT " you can not refuse me service , it's against the law, he is allowed to go wherever I go. He said well since you are getting carry out I will serve you, I said again if I was to sit down you can not refuse me . At this point I was humiliated and felt belittled because of my situation. I will never come back , the place looked tired and old. I will be contacting an attorney because of this discrimination. If this is the type of restaurant you want to spend your money at ,be forewarned. I walked out saying I'm not going to spend my money there.
