Even though I have watched their prices go up over the years (ie., double filet mignon was $1.99 5 years ago, it is now $4.99) overall, their prices aure unbeatable. In most things they are cheaper than Sav a Lot and the store is cleaner with MUCH better produce and much bigger selection. I do the bulk of my shopping at Aldi and only stop at Sav a Lot for an occasional item I need because the new store is around the corner from where I live. Aldi is still the best in the area in price & quality. The Germans are the best at everything they do. (I am 100% German & proud of it). If U haven't shopped there yet, U must try it. You will then gasp at the prices at Winn Dixie and Publix after being able to get a full cart of food for $130 that will cost you $200-$250 at those other stores. No joke. I am a great shopper and a very careful one. Living on one income now while I build my pet sitting business (Latch Key Kritters) makes me frugal. I have shopped everywhere and Aldi is your BEST BET. They also sell weekly specials on small, portable appliances like crock pots and table top grills. Every Wednesday is their fresh meat specials. Go early because they sell out quickly & their...
Read moreI only go to this Aldi location for convenience but I will start driving further to go to another one. I went yesterday 7/5 around 4pm. Normally there is a line to check out since they typically only have one cashier at a time. I was stoked to see that there was no line and I walked up with the few items that I had and sat them down on the belt (about 6 items). The male cashier continued to be on his phone, didn’t acknowledge me once. I actually had to wait for him to stop doing whatever it was on his phone. Eventually he looked at me and started scanning. No apology. I needed a paper bag to store my items in but there were none on that register. I ask him for one and he points to another register so I walk away to get one. He then proceeds to charge me for 2 paper bags when I only got one. Not a huge deal with the bags but zero customer service skills, especially with being on the phone as I’m standing there in line waiting for...
Read moreThe first time I visited Aldi, I was a little leery. Too many "budget" stores left me unimpressed with their quality, selection, and cleanliness. I took a chance on a gallon of milk and some shredded cheese. Encouraged by good prices AND good flavor, I branched out to potato chips and a selection of fresh veggies and fruit. I was a little disappointed that the veggies didn't last very long, but now I know to use them quickly if I want the great prices. Now, I do almost all my grocery shopping at Aldi, and when I moved recently I needed EVERYTHING. I was able to stock my pantry with all the staples, the freezer with enough meats and prepared meals to last a month, and the fridge with all the usuals for UNDER $200. I don't spend more than $50/month, now, to keep everything stocked as I use it. You can't beat the prices, and the brands they carry are great quality. Love their...
