We’re locals that eat here at least once a week because we are consistently guaranteed a delicious meal. Best burger & fries!!
Edit: April 27, 2025. This place has gone completely downhill. The food is still good—the service is horrendous. Went tonight to celebrate my friend’s 86th birthday and halfway through our meal, they placed a table of over 30 people, including a little league team, right next to us. The kids were screaming so loud we couldn’t even hear each other at the table. When I asked to move tables, the server couldn’t even be bothered to help us. When the kids started some sort of “slap game” where they were clapping with the sound echoing through the dining hall, I asked to speak with the manager… there wasn’t one—everyone working seemed to be super young so no one knew how to handle the situation. And to top it off, after our table switch our server never came to finish our service. We had to physically get up several times to get ketchup, a soda refill, put in a dessert order, pay our check, go get to-go boxes… every time we got up, our server was just hanging out behind the counter chatting with his co-workers or on his phone. It’s infuriating to spend $150 to take someone special out to dinner for their birthday only to have the whole experience overshadowed by frustration & disappointment.
We will never go there for a special occasion again. Save the Brewhouse for a drinking night on the patio. The dining hall is a complete joke—the bar is the only thing keeping that...
Read morePopular Bar type food with beer/drinks. Except for already prepped salads, not much in the way of complete meals. Food can be consistent, such as the Pork Sandwich...which for some reason is always over-spiced & greasy. Food is like upscale "fast food", but commands higher prices. To have a more well balance meal, you need to order a 1/2 or whole salad, with a protein.
Much of the eats are more like Happy Hour type stuff, but is more pricey.
You will likely want a few beers to go with the food. They do not make their own beer, but do have a good assortment. The bar area is pleasant if that is what you want. It is nicer in some ways to the dinning area & does have a pleasant outdoor area. It is narrow, but boasts a fire display.
View of Shell Beach Rd. & the 101.
One person bathroom, is a problem if you imbibe.
If you are focused on talking over a snack & drink, think again...it is
noisy....especially when there is a game on TV (think Sports Bar).
More for younger tourists or the younger crowd who do enjoy it.
It is the only "free-standing" bar within a mile or two. The next bars on the North end of Shell are in the hotels, which are not cheap, but can have Happy Hours & nice Ocean views. There are bars & wine tasting shops in...
Read moreWe've frequented Shell Beach Brewhouse for a few years consistently. Our last visit was yesterday and it will be the last time we ever visit any establishment, by the owners of this restaurant. After sitting for an entire football game, spending close to $100, we were confronted as we finished paying and we're leaving. A male employee came out and stated we had shorted the bill the previous time we were there. We were told to square up with the server the next time we came in. The manager was asked for and the entire conversation was disrespectful. Why serve people $100 worth of items but, wait until we're leaving to claim we didn't pay our entire bill from before? We paid the amount she claimed we owed, after going between $10 of that number. We love Tommy and Tammy and always frequented this establishment, Mason Bar and Rooster Creek and won't ever be back to any because of the rude service and horrible attitudes. I've never been so disrespected and disgusted by management and employees of a restaurant. We asked to speak to speak to the owner and knew it wouldn't go anywhere so, just a fair warning, DO NOT VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT OR ANY OTHER OWNED BY THE...
