Best meal I have had this year 👍😁. This place is discretely exquisite. Nothing to grab your attention on the outside. Once inside, WOW. I slowly noticed that the floors were not concrete. Made of beautiful granite slabs instead. As was the table in the booth I was seated in. Began to notice the artwork around the walls. The ambiance forshadowed the meal to come. My brother and I shared the Mocajete for 2. A full steak (not cut up tips) on the bottom, with chicken and shrimp . Topped with grilled pineapple, onion, and green peppers. Also included were beans and rice , and a SALAD. SALAD was super simple. Only lettuce and tomato. This simple salad grabbed both my brother and my attention because of the guacamole on one side as a topping and sour cream on the other. Best and mildest sourcream I have ever had. All of the sauces were unique as well. I asked for the extra hot brown salsa. Upon arrival I tasted it and was disappointed because it was SWEET. However I soon began to sweat with a 😊❣️. This salsa turns from sweet to hot on your palate in about 2 minutes.
I'm glad I met Alex. He's in charge there. I told him I expect to be able to jump to the head of the line there. For there certainly will be one as word spreads of this 5 star place. Kudos to the wait staff as well....

Don’t order the Kids’ Menu Mac & Cheese.
I have been a frequent customer at this restaurant, but my most recent experience was disappointing, and I think it’s important to share.
My children ordered the Mac & Cheese from the kids’ menu. Since the menu didn’t specify whether it came with a side, I assumed it did. I even considered ordering just one plate to share between two kids, but I decided to wait and see the portion size first. When the dish arrived, I was surprised by how small it was—definitely insufficient, even for my 7-year-old. I had to order a second plate.
After finishing it, my kids were still hungry, but I trusted that this was just a part of the meal, and that the fries would be enough to satisfy them. After a long wait, I asked about the fries and was informed that the Mac & Cheese didn’t include a side. This was a significant inconvenience, especially considering that the dish costs $6, and its flavor was clearly from a boxed mix.
I requested to speak with someone to leave my feedback, and I was told that the owner’s daughter was present. Someone informed her of what had happened, but apparently, her response was, “That’s just how the dish is.” I was not only disappointed with the food but also with the indifferent attitude of the staff, especially coming from the owner’s daughter.
After this experience, I crossed the street to Lowes Foods and found much more reasonably priced options for kids. I can’t help but feel disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and the poor customer service in a place I used to enjoy visiting with my family.
Note: When I told my partner about my experience, and it was suggested I buy another plate just to take these photos, as the portion size is so minimal that it deserves to be photographed. Observe the portion size, and how you can see the bottom of the plate. Spoon included for...
Read moreMy wife and I , came here 3-18-2018. We start with salsa and chips, if you want the hot salsa you have to ask for it. The chip was not the best chip I have had , but not bad either (I guess average). The standard red salsa was very good, I mixed the red salsa and the hot salsa that way it was hot with out setting me on fire. Then we had a plain cheese dip, it had a good flavor but it's not a spicy cheese dip, so anybody that does not like spicy would love the cheese dip. I had the fajita poblano, it came out frying hot on a pan, just the way it should be. It comes with beef, chicken ,onions ,Poblano's and light tomatoes. The beef and chicken is good quality not the standard jerky chicken and beef that you get from the lower quality Mexican restaurants. My wife had the Texana fajita quesadilla, it comes with chicken shrimp and beef, she loved it. Another plus is their tea is a good Southern sweet tea not too sweet , just perfect. The decor is very nice, again not the standard cheeky kind of lower end Mexican decor, to me it had more of a Aztec flare. The waist staff little younger ( not a bad thing, just observation) very polite and very energetic. The bottom line we find our new Mexican...
