Bamboo — Restaurant in Pittsburg

I've been a fan of bamboo for a long time. I've always told people it's the best Chinese food in Pittsburg. But last night was pitiful. I ordered shrimp lo mein, while eating it I came across three shrimp that were not properly deveined. I took my food back to the restaurant to show them the mistake and to have the issue resolved. The lady behind the counter went to go get a manager. But rather than the manager come and address the problem she sent the cashier back to tell me the shrimp comes already deveined and there was nothing they could do. What an excuse, so you don't train your cooks to inspect the food? You're telling me that you'd be ok to get dirty shrimp in your meal? I was hoping they would have at least apologized for the mishap and possibly given me a voucher for another a meal or refunded my money. But nope. So I not be eating here anymore. Last evening I made an online order. I ordered the Chefs special Lo mean three orders of it. I have never in the past had an issue with this location. I got home 30 minutes from the store and realized that it was rice not lo mean. I turned around and drove back. The first young lady I spoke with was so very sweet and understood. The second young lady and I say that loosely was absolutely hateful. I was very understanding even though it cost me half a tank of gas to get my 125 dollar order. I was told we will fix it this time but it will never happen again because we just lost 40 dollars in food. Are you kidding me. I driven hour twice for my food and was very nice about it until that point. I never spend less than 125 in there but I will from now on go to lotus. The food is kind of pricey, but they supply HUGE servings. I once ordered the chicken lo mein and was set for lunch for four days. Bamboo's food is pretty basic Chinese-American cuisine. Satisfying, but nothing spectacular.

Tip: the crab rangoon may be pretty awful, but their spin rangoon is a great alternative.

I am usually very satisfied each time I pick up food from Bamboo, but if you're planning a quick delivery during a work break or after classes, don't count on it.
