The Pitt — Restaurant in Pittsburg

Was looking for a place that had food our 4 and 6 year old grandsons could eat, so after much searching online, we decided to give this place a try.

First of all, the bar height only tables are not conducive to bringing small kids to a restaurant. The adults were nervous trying to make sure they didn't fall off the bar height chairs.

I had the burger with the egg on it. Loved everything about this burger. Both burger and egg cooked perfectly. Wife had the Hawaiian burger, which she thought was delicious. Brother-in-law had the burger with the mac and cheese with the mac and cheese on the side; he absolutely raved about the mac and cheese.

For appetizers, we bought the pepperjack bites and the spicy green beans. The green beans were fabulous, although I would have enjoyed dipping them in a spicier ranch than regular ranch, although it was very good ranch.

We all ordered the french fries and onion rings with our dishes. All of us agreed both the rings and the fries were on the greasy side. I think the greasiness of the fries is what gave my stomach some issues later.

The bartender who took care of me paying the bill was very nice. Big, welcoming, friendly smile; pleasant attitude and communication. The service industry needs more people like this guy.

Would definitely try this place again to try something else on their vast menu. Might have to not eat for about two days so I can try the double patty hamburger with the fried chicken in the middle of the sandwich. Or their fried peanut butter and jelly. Or wings with their multitude of flavors of...

This was my first time here, my brother says he eats here every week and they have the best hamburgers. He told me to order the Hawaiian burger, and I ordered my usual Jameson whiskey double with lemonade. First the drink came out, I've never tasted Jameson that had a hint of dish soap, I had others taste it, they were impressed so I chalked it up for have a stomach bug a few days ago and maybe my taste buds are messed up. The sweet waitress was so kind and got me another Jameson but this time I asked for a root beer mixer. Unfortunately a different drink did not change the taste of Palmolive. So we ordered our hamburges and when I received mine it was good... I mean damn good burger, but it wasn't Hawaiian burger nope. My wife really enjoyed my Hawaiian burger and I enjoyed her ??!! Well whatever she ordered burger.... I don't write many bad reviews but some just write themselves. The atmosphere was nice, super long hallway was kinda interesting and t.v.s everywhere. Nice inside and guaranteed those glasses get washed, just not rinsed well. Oh before you say it was Pittsburg City water made the ice, I checked the ice, no flavor.... Really not interested in ever going back when you mess up a...

When in Pittsburgh Kansas you gotta make The Pitt your Pittstop cause this place is your go to for delicious food in a live friendly atmosphere. I was immediately impressed with the layout and the waitresses were amazing and all looked like Baywatch models. I ordered the Mac Daddy which came with Mac N Cheese on top of the burger under the bun and loved every bite of this monster. Definitely try the fried Pickles for the appetizer cause they are worth the drive alone to eat. They have pool you can play while waiting for your meal or this awesome video game table that I've never seen anything like before. They even have a back patio with tables and chairs when you want to go outside. The Pitt is everything Pittsburg and they rep their Gorillas just like the rest of the town from what I seen. Other towns need to take notes cause Pittsburg and The Pitt are on point with it and I will always remember this wonderful experience. Might feel cute one day and drive down there again just because my hunger has me...
