Pizza Guys — Restaurant in Pittsburg

So I will preface this with I get that it's probably a busy night... That being said...

We initially tried to place our order online, didn't work. No problem. We call to see if there's an issue, were hung up on a couple of times. Ok. They're busy. That's kind of rude but I get it. Finally we get someone on the phone and place our order. Cool. Except the first card machine didn't work so they had to use a different one. My wife had to repeat the card number at least 3 times. Turns out they double charged the card. No problem, we call them back. Noelee (sp?) said they'd have to call the bank and clear it up. That's all fine. Until the driver showed up.

Driver (really nice guy named Andy) says we owe him for the order! I was like, oh no we got double charged and showed him my bank app that showed we were charged twice. He said, better call them. So I did. And was hung up on the first time. Then put on hold for 5 minutes. Ok. Pizza is getting cold, ice cream is melting and Andy has another delivery getting cold in his car. Finally I ask for a manager and the guy who finally picked up (Manny) doesn't even give us a chance to talk saying he doesn't have time to talk to us about the card issue and didn't even give us a chance to explain that the ticket they sent with Andy said we owed them cash. Basically Andy was able to get enough in to figure out the pizza was paid for and that was good enough for me. Felt bad because we didn't have any cash accessible for a tip so we scrounged something up for Andy being such a good sport. I don't know what the deal was with their computers tonight, but there's absolutely no reason to double charge a customer and then tell them they owe the bill. I will followup with my bank on Wednesday to make certain that the second charge is removed. Terrible service (except for Andy) and I will certainly be taking my busy back to Dominos...

I found Pizza Guy's in 2010 in Vallejo, Ca. I LOVED THIS PIZZA PLACE!! I moved to Pittsburg, Ca. In 2016, I was happy to see they are here too, I didnt know my way around, so I was ordering from them way to much, but it was sooo good. I cut back on eating out due to diet, and it's been about 1 year since I had them, so I got weak last Friday, and placed an order, I ordered a lg pizza, lite sauce, sausage & mushrooms, 2ltr soda... OMG!! The pizza came & It didn't look like pizza from my Pizza Guy's, but it was.. It was sooooo NASTY! The sauce looked & tasted like a can of stewed tomatoes, it had no kind of taste to it, I guess they thought I said EXTRA MUSHROOMS becuz that's all you could see on top of this bread, I barely seen the sausage, but I had to count them... 12 tiny bits if sausage on an lg pizza & they didn't want to put cheese on it either from what it looked like! I was soooo disappointed! It had been a year and I wanted my Pizza Guys, but they let me down big time! The pizza & soda was $25.00, I bit into one piece & couldnt eat anymore. I tried calling them to let them know how I felt about the pizza, but It was late & I got no answer, so I sent a email & another one & another one & another one... One week later, still no reply! It seems like a pizza place nowadays either goes for The Gourmet expensive pizza or the low dollar cheap pizza. Pizza Hut isn't what it used to be. Mountain Mike's sure as hell isn't what it used to be. Pizza Guys has been consistent for the last seven years that I've lived here. You can either get the special fairly cheap pizza which is pretty good. Or you can get a specialty pizza which is about $4 more and is very good. Anytime you get the chance to get two large specialty pizzas for $25 or $28 you will not go wrong...
