We've gone twice now to the Bakery Square location. Love the atmosphere. You can eat inside or in the enclosed courtyard for a more open feel. Lots of plants and cool hip decoration. The bar area looks very nice although we've only eaten at a table. One night it was packed with a wait on weekend, and then we went on a Thursday on beautiful day and they had many tables free. The first time we ordered both square and round pizza. We thought they square was overly greasy and heavy. The round was ok. Second time we stayed clear of the deep dish square and ordered two rounds. Both were pooling with grease and dripping even as you ate it. Not sure why they are making them so laden with grease. I brought a slice or two home and heated it up in this photo. You can see its covered. Even on a few of their Facebook promo photos you can see some posts with pizzas full of grease. We love the atmosphere. The help there if friendly. One of the pasta dishes was very good to my kid although butter was pooling as well about 1/4 inch deep on bottom. Want to love this place and probably go as the salad was good (another person said too much dressing) too but we will temper expectations about the pizza.

Overall, wouldn’t recommend - A few reasons - 1. Price - my bill for one pizza and a lemonade was 38.00. Ridiculous. I had two toppings. They only offer one size so you are kind of stuck with that. It’s 8 slices and probably enough for three people. 2. Pizza was so-so. I thought it was a bit too salty, didn’t really have that classic pizza flavor. 3. Environment - It’s “nice” and new, very clean and modern. I prefer a bit more of a homestyle vibe, to me it lacks a bit of "soul" or "charm" that some pizza joints have. Service was fine. I feel like this is a “different” kind of pizza place. It might be right for someone else, as there was certainly plenty of people who really seemed to enjoy their meals and having a great time. It's just not my personal preference.

This is located in the heart of Bakery Square, which is a fantastic location with parking available. We visited on a Friday night and had a 30-minute wait, which is reasonable considering it was a busy evening and they don't accept reservations. They also have a window for pick-up with tables available not inside the restaurant. I loved the ambiance and design! For appetizers, we opted for the Parmesan-crusted zucchini and Brussels sprouts, both of which were outstanding. The funghi was equally impressive, though the hot honey chicken was disappointing. Nonetheless, this spot is a great choice for a meal out with friends, especially with the option to enjoy ice cream from Jens afterwards!

What a great find on a Monday in Pittsburgh before a holiday. The hostess offered us a seat at the bar with no waiting, we opted to enjoy a togo glass of wine in the atrium while waiting for a table. It was a great choice as our server Charlie was excellent. My better half wanted to split a bottle of the Pinot Gris we sampled but I had my eye on the corpse reviver, made with a wonderful Italian gin that put a special twist on the other ingredients. Wifie mentioned the sangria looking good, when Charlie set the bottle cooler down I asked if he would delay it so my beloved could sample the sangria. It was well balanced, strong enough without being too sweet, well excited white sangria. Started off with some crispy crunchy semolina zucchini fries, the zucchini was succulent with a hint of sweetness served with a tangy citrus white sauce and classic red sauce for dipping, the butrata came with grilled bread and roasted peppers and tomatoes. That could of been a meal there but we dug deep. We asked Charlie should we split salad and pasta or salad and burger. He recommended the burger, and I'm glad we followed his advice. Our chopped salad was loaded with chickpeas, chunks of fresh mozzarella, fresh cut greens, and tangy salumi. The start was the burger, let me tell you I was not expecting an Italian joint to knock out such a good burger. Caramelized onions, two beef patties, a bun soft and warm as a mother's love with cheese for days. Dangerous levels of melty gooey cheese with Calabrian chili aioli. The fries were crispy and well seasoned with herbs and Parmesan cheese. A great meal wish we had room...

I don't know what the mix up was between door dash pick up and their systems here. I waited 45 mins for my food before they told me they never received my door dash order. I checked twice in those 45 mins and the girl at the front never told me they didn't receive it, just said it was still in progress. Fine. After about 10 more minutes I checked again, this time the manager came out to tell me they didn't receive the order. Understandably frustrated at this point, I asked if I could just have a refund. They told me I have to go threw door dash for that. So then I asked if they could make my food because I'm here with my toddler on her birthday and I really don't have time for this. She at first told me I had to pay for it to be remade and then quickly changed her story and remade my food free of charge. She literally looks at my order and reads from my phone to put a new order in. After 30 more minutes my food finally arrives. Ofcourse I checked to make sure everything was there and my pizza was missing from the pasta dishes!!! LIVID. I bring it to their attention, this time another "manager" comes out. Very monotone sorrys, he says they'll have the chicken out in 10 minutes. I waited another 25 MINUTES for 2 peices of chicken. He finally brings out my chicken. He told me they were happy to pay for my food. He claimed his name was Kennedy. They all seemed incompetent for the positions...

My friends and I came here for my friend's birthday and were really excited about it, as their menu looked amazing! However, they were extremely RUDE! I have never had a dining experience like this IN MY LIFE!!

We were greeted rudely, and treated with disrespect as if we did not belong there. We are from West Virginia (a bordering state), and the server rudely accused our I.D.s of being fake (they are not). They claimed it did not match the I.D. for WV they had in their book, even though we all had the newest most up to date version of the West Virginia FEDERAL ID. The fact that all of our IDs are fairly new and are all valid for federal identification purposes, but not valid to purchase drinks at this restaurant that is 1 hour and 15 minutes from our home BAFFLES me. Wherever they are getting their information regarding this, it is not up to date and should be fixed immediately. Their attitude towards us when we asked to show them a second form of identification was extremely rude and they were not willing to even attempt to fix the problem or work with us. They pretty much said "Hey we are right, and you are wrong, if you don't like it then you guys can leave."

I would highly recommend the restaurant a few steps away "Tako Torta." We ended up going there instead and had a great dining experience and no issues with our federal IDs...
