China Buffet east liberty — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

Called on the phone to inquire about the price of the buffet. Was told 15. Got in 5 minutes later and was charged 17 (without tip). 15 is already more expensive than much better buffets. Their website said they have sushi, they do not. Their selection is very limited. Pay upfront is a little uncommon but I actually prefer it. Food was below average. When you eat a lot of Chinese buffet, you get an idea what good and bad buffet tastes like. This was bad. Fried shrimp was cold, general tso's sauce had a hot sauce like consistency rather than a glaze. Honey chicken wasn't sweet. Lomein and fried rice were acceptable. Dessert selection was poor even for a Chinese buffet. There are other restaurants in town with cheaper buffet, much better quality, and MUCH larger selection (including sushi). But the thing that made me the most angry was lying...

I went on a Tuesday evening around 6. The majority of the food was 3/4th empty. I tried a handful of different kinds and they were not even warm. The gentleman asked if he could help and I said, well all the food is cold. Another lady came running over and pointed out the full, hot, and fresh chicken they just put out. Obviously, yes, that will be fine. I pointed out the rest of the buffet that was not. They offered to make anything I wanted. I stated you can't make the entire buffet. The guy followed me back to my seat and apologized. He said he's been in the food industry for a long time and only helps when he can and keeps telling them that in order to keep a buffet business, you need to keep things going and fresh. I didn't pay for the few bites I had but left a more than generous tip and wished they did better next time but not sure...

This was the worst experience of my life ! And I will never go back! Me and my fiance was eating dinner tonight when the OWNER started to argue with a woman who was taking care of a special needs child . I asked the woman if she was okay and the OWNER came over to our table yelling at us about talking to the very nice woman . That is so unprofessional and outright rude ! We felt so uncomfortable,then this other woman came in to the restaurant she had nothing to do with the situation and started yelling at us and the nice woman/ her family . I wouldn't be surprised if there might be a law suit going on . My advice would be to never step foot into that place nor eat at it . I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business...
