Applewood Smoke Burger Company — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

Liked it is fitting here... there is no way that these are the best burgers in pgh... but they are certainly likable. Everthing was just a bit too generic to be as slightly spendy as it is here. The staff is absolutely fantastic and super friendly... but we were at the 60+ dollar range for my wife and I and two young kids. We wanted something different than our norm of red robin... and love supporting small locals... but I don't think I will be trading in our norm for this place. We were probably abut 20 bucks over what we'd spend at rr. I will say I really liked the fries... good showing on the rest but ... I can't see anyone thinking their the best... wish I was blown away for how likable it is here but, it just didn't wow me like other reviewers. May try...

Best burgers in Pittsburgh. Burger meat blend is the best I’ve ever had. So juicy and tasty. Fries are like boardwalk fries and they have sweet potato ones. Everyone who eats from here has claimed it’s the best burger they’ve ever had. That includes my food loving, larger friends. And the bacon.... that’s a whole other review. Delicious.

It’s a nondescript place in the back of local bar so it doesn’t get much notoriety. Staff is always so friendly and nice. Orders are dolled out in less than 30 minutes even on the busiest of days. And even if you have to wait, what better place to be than a local pub with a decent tap?

Try it. You won’t be disappointed. I promise. Wings are out of this world as well....

Normally love this spot. Today we waited an hour for two sandwiches, watched a family who came in after us whine and get their food first, stopped asking about our food after a while cause they were obviously fed up with the questions. Turns out while everyone around us was having their meals brought out to them, ours had been put back into the system under a new number and as a to-go order, but it wasn’t worth checking with us to see if maybe that was our food, so now I’m eating cold fries ¯(ツ)/¯ It’s not busy enough for this!

I did have to change this to four stars in the end, because the bad experiences are in the minority and this place has...
