First time. Went there for Brunch, and pre-Father's Day since we weren't going to be around the following weekend. We were surprised that the place was nearly empty for peak-brunch time. The vibes felt off. We were seated at an awkward 3-top that struggled to hold much plates/glasses but the rest of the place seemed to have decent selection of seating including a nice bar. Loved the informal seating at the front. The shades were closed which was odd as it was cloudy-rainy out and it was already so gloomy feeling inside. We ordered two eggs benedict plates and another ordered a plain burger/fries. The eggs benedict came out for one, and a few minutes later mine. The English muffin wasn't toasted, and it seemed the line-chef just grabbed it from the bag and placed on the plate without the toasting. The eggs and sauce were just also downright cold. You'd think at least the heating station would have kept them warm, but not sure what was going on. The potatoes were cold on my companions plate, and mine just luke-warm. My kids burger was ok. She ordered medium and it looked medium-rare. Her fries were super cold. We mentioned the eggs-benedict being cold and she was apologetic and offered to remove them from bill and have us order again. We played it safe and wife ordered just English muffin and I ordered burger (medium) and fries. My fries were very good and piping hot, the burger was just ok and cooked medium-rare -- I'm fine with that although ordered medium. My wife's muffin was warm but it appeared to have some residue on top -- she surmised it had a sausage patio or something prior on top or something. Really disappointed, but didn't complain further. The service was very attentive and she was very kind and nice but we suffered with sub-par food for sure. We had high hopes as we love the sister place in the strip for seafood but I'm not sure they have their act together. It wasn't like they were slammed or...
Read moreI was excited to hear about the opening of this tavern, following the demise of Park Brugge. My understanding is that one of the owners is also a co-owner of Penn Fish in the Strip, one of my favorite places with some of the best sushi in the city, IMO. Yet what I experienced yesterday when I went for brunch was extreme disappointment. I ordered a special called “Hash,” and asked if the fried egg could be poached and was told that it “takes too long for the water to boil.” OK, then. The dish arrived, lukewarm, with a fried egg on top of 4 potato fingers on a pool of—not sure, maybe hollandaise? I’m not sure because the entire dish was profoundly bland. And where was the hash anyway? I had been there for an underwhelming dinner when BST first opened, but figured it would take them awhile to get their “sea legs.” They haven’t yet, and I’m wondering if they ever will. TBH, I find the quality of the food to be an insult to the locals, especially, who enjoy excellent nearby restaurants like Park Place Pub, Teppanyaki Kyoto, or Smiling Banana Leaf, to name a few. Do the BST owners really believe they’re on to something here? I have a hard time...

What used to be a bright charming neighborhood gathering place with reliably delightful food and drink (Park Bruges), is now a dark, pricey, fishy-smelling cave with TV’s everywhere… nobody asked for this!!!
My partner and I got the tavern salads, mine with chicken and his with steak. Neither of our proteins came salted or seasoned, and my chicken was visibly dry and old, like it had been pulled straight from a prep bin. The blue cheese that came on my salad was in two huge blobs. The steak was fresh and very nicely cooked, but again, no salt.
The peel and eat shrimp, however, was almost too salty to eat.
My husband ordered one beer. We ordered a grilled cheese for our toddler off the unofficial kids menu. Before tip everything came to a jaw-dropping $80.
Our server was friendly and attentive. No complaints there!
I don’t know if we’ll be back. Park Bruges,...
