Park Place Pub — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

Inside of Park Place Pub is Applewood Smoke Burger Company. This is probably my favorite burger in Pittsburgh. If you're going after 7:00, YOU HAVE TO CALL and talk to someone to make sure they're still taking orders and they haven't run out of what you're planning to order! Some days they just get slammed and run out of food and have to close at like 7:30 (but the Park Place bar itself stays open). The service was excellent and the variety of burgers was refreshing. I enjoyed the wide selection of toppings and I am glad they had wings and what not as well as my kids like chicken more than burgers.

My wife and I got burgers and requested medium well by they were beyond medium well but were still pretty juicy.

I would say the burger was right around the quality of 5 guys, not the best around but certainly better than fast food.

The prices were a little above average for the location, if you are eating with a spouse be ready to drop $30 plus for two...

Our bartender was a very polite employee, the gentleman who made our food, which I assume was the owner, was giving us samples of hummus on A PIECE of onion and a very small piece of pita bread that he did not tell us we we’re being charged for. When we got our bill, which should have only been two drinks and a falafel platter, it had an extra charge of “prep work” for the samples the owner was giving us.
