Our meal was so delicious that we joked about coming on a weekly basis from now on. Although it may not be weekly, we will add this place to our list of favorites. Hard to believe it took us so long to eat here since it is so close to home. It is a big place that often looks pretty empty, but large groups fit well, the food and service were excellent, and prices seemed very reasonable. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. We got the samosa chaat (1 samosa covered in chick peas and chutneys), crab fritter (chutneys on side), kheema naan (stuffed with ground lamb), and the vegetable jalfrezi (tomato based sauce). As much as we liked the entree, the apps and naan were the stars of our meal. There was a good amount of spice in some dishes and lots of flavor in all. For some reason, we assumed it was BYOB, but it is not. They have a full bar there with a cooler of different beers. The decor had a strong Pittsburgh sports theme. No background music, just a TV on by the bar. We will be returning soon.

All of the food I got from this place was very high quality, pretty decently priced, and had solid portions as well. Super fresh and tasty. I tried the chana masala (chickpea curry) and the peshwari naan. Their chana masala came in a good portion with lots of flavor/seasoning. Whole chunks of chickpeas, good quality. Sauce isn't too thick or thin. I do think that the meal was too spicy for my liking, even though I chose a 0 on the spice scale. Good rice portion too. I was super surprised by the naan. I've never tried peshwari before, so it was totally new to me, and I loved it! It's a sweet naan stuffed with some dried fruit, coconut, ground almonds, and a few other things. Almost like a dessert. And it's so good, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and very tasty/sweet. All in all, I quite liked this place. The chana masala meal was a bit too spicy, but the peshwari naan was incredible. Definitely recommend that!

The lady in the reception was very rude to us as we wanted to seat in a table other than their suggested one. The servers are not well behaved as well. We went there for the 50% off after 9pm offer but the offer doesn’t mention it’s applicable only on very limited items - which is deceptive. They also asked us to leave in a very unpleasant way when it was closing time. That really surprised us. They behave well with white customers only, not with Indians. Their food is not bad. I would have rated them a 4 star if they hadn’t behaved rude with us.

I loved this place ever since the first day they came into the squirrel Hill area I actually never ate Indian food before but I gave it a try and I was amazed and hooked basically on anything they cooked me and my best friend since second grade used to also work there because my friends stepfather used to be very close friendship with the owner but before we even worked there we were they're practically several times a week I love anything with shrimp I also love their mango lassi or mango milkshake I love their buffet I love their appetizers I loved their dessert with the sweet cinnamon covered balls with honey and syrup covered with powdered sugar OMG it will feel like you have died and gone to heaven LOL but if you have any questions or any concerns Don't be afraid or hesitant to ask especially if you are new to trying out Indian food and expecially when they're spice level is higher than are spice levels and if you're allergic to something or if you need some extra guidance don't be hesitant to ask don't be embarrassed that's why they are there for to help as best as they can I haven't gone to coriander in a few years missed going to the restaurant all the time and eating so many great tasty flavorful wonderful delicious different dishes and creations they let us try out at times before putting it on the menu for people to also get to experience the great different options to choose from and you won't get bored from this restaurant you'll be wanting to come back for more I guarantee it

I haven't been here since my son was 3 years old my son loved it he even went up for seconds at the buffet table normally my son is a picky eater but not for Indian food or Chinese or Asian or Mexican or Italian my son loves trying new food from...

Disappointed for multiple reasons. Food was not authentic Indian at all and had a lot of artificial food color added. Besides the lack of variety and quality of food, customer service is a myth in this restaurant. And is was our bad luck that the restaurateur was there that day. Here are few snippets on what happened on my first visit:-

Scene 1:- Me - We are 3 of us, I think we will sit here (the center table). Restaurateur - If you sit here you gotta pay for 6 as it has 6 chairs (LOL). You should sit there. Me - But there are 4 chairs there. Does that mean we have to pay for 4? Restaurateur - I'll remove one chair so that you don't have to pay for the 4th (And he actually did so, ridiculous)

Scene 2:- Me - Can I get a spoon. Restaurateur - All the spoons are there in the counter buddy (And waled away)

Scene 3:- Me - (I took the plate with me for a second serving unmindfully, students you see :-P) Restaurateur - You don't follow buffet etiquette, do you? You need to take fresh plates if you are taking food. (This was too much) Me - Sorry, I have not been to buffet's where I do not enjoy. This' my first time.

And then, the bill was thrown at us much before we were even done eating.

Except for the helpful waiters, nothing is worth the $11...

We went for dinner & the table was not ready on which we were seated. A waitress was paying attention in the front part, didn't had a clue that we were not given any napkins, spoons, salt/pepper until we asked (after our appetizers were served - we started eating without spoons). She wasn't even looking at our table, where we could have politely made a gesture to ask spoons. I picked up salt/pepper from other table. How can they be so negligent?

Food was just ok, nothing really special. If your attention is towards the lack of service, then you won't enjoy the food....simple!!!.

Then we started asking 2-3 things at the same (who knew, if she would return or not), that we wanted to order, but guess what.....she would definitely forget 1 out of 3 things. Zero professionalism. Both waitresses chatting/gossiping near the bar (no one to refill water in our glasses), chef singing in the kitchen - Absolutely pathetic ambiance for dinner. Adjacent table had someone's homework open--like a study table(I guess one of them was a student). Even then, I left...
