⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Delightful Surprise in Squirrel Hill!
My wife and I stumbled upon The Mediterranean Table completely by accident, and what a fortunate discovery it was! We were absolutely blown away by the incredible flavors and warm hospitality.
From the moment we walked in, the aroma of freshly grilled meats and spices was positively intoxicating. We weren't expecting much, but each dish was a revelation. The “tender lamb kebabs” literally melted in our mouths, and the “homemade hummus”was so creamy and authentic that it transported us straight to the Mediterranean coast.
What really surprised us was the incredible value - the portion sizes are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the quality is top-notch. My wife, who can be quite picky, couldn't stop raving about the falafel and the fresh salads. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel like welcomed guests rather than just customers.
If you're looking for a genuine, delicious Mediterranean dining experience in Pittsburgh, The Mediterranean Table is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Read moreMy wife and I had a truly fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at The Mediterranean Table on Murray Ave in Squirrel Hill! It was a last-minute decision – we were actually headed to Aiello's for pizza, but stumbled upon this gem instead, and we're so glad we did. Yes, we were heading out for pizza anyway (more on that later!), but The Mediterranean Table offered so much more.
The restaurant itself is cozy and was packed when we arrived around 8pm. Despite the crowd, the host was incredibly accommodating and managed to squeeze us into the only available table. We started with the Dolma, and let me tell you, it was fresh and flavorful – a truly wonderful way to begin our meal. Wow!
For our main course, we both opted for gyros. My wife had the chicken gyro, and I had the lamb. Both were absolutely delicious, with generous portions of perfectly seasoned meat. Every bite was a delight. We were so happy to have discovered this hidden treasure. It was the perfect, unexpected Valentine's Day dinner, even if we did end up with something close to what we originally planned! We can't...
Read moreThe people working there were the star of the show and the reason I didn’t give two stars. Let’s be honest though, service is one thing but you would want your money’s worth when it comes to dining out. Ordered the lamb adana to try. I was shocked at the portion or size. Usually an adana kebab is quite satisfactory but this one cut in 3 pieces was super tiny for the price. There was also a strong smell which really turned me off. If it tasted nice, I would have not even brought it up, but it could be a one off experience or maybe this batch of meat was just different.
The other food was nice BUT the portion size which was all the rave in the reviews was disappointing. Was not expecting the paper places with the price but I could care less for that sort of stuff if the food is out of this world or fair portions, both fell a bit short on the deal.
Would I return again? Maybe… if I could go back and try other food items but I would have some extra cash as the portion for the price was a bit...
