Our family love this library! Most staff and librarians are nice and helpful! Today, I heard a staff yelling at a child like 3year old who was running at the children zone, which let me feel disappointed! I know kids are supposed to use walking feet but you can’t expect a preschooler to remember the rules all the time. The staff would have talk nicely and softly to remind the kid but she just shouted at her with unfriendly and loud voice! I feel it is inappropriate for a staff at library did that way to a little child! Just wish every little kid could be treated gently and nicely in the library!

Nice, spacious interior with your expected offering of books and amenities. There's a decent amount of tables with gorgeous view, letting in tons of natural light. There's also a lot of power outlets for those on laptops. However, parents seem to think this is good place for kids too young to read.

Tired of working or studying at home? Bring your stuff to the library and enjoy the view. It's one of my favorite places to work remotely. Other than that, the staff is great and very helpful.

The race/orientation of this person doesn't matter I am just using it to point out the person because I don't know his name, but the white guy with long hair and black nail polish is extremely rude. He is short tempered and bad at answering questions. I think management should speak to him. It's sad that his actions put such a stain on what could be a good library. The rest of the staff the young lady with glasses and the older Bald gentlemen are helpful but every time I come to the PUBLIC library that guy is rude and quick tempered. I am hoping management can talk to this guy about his attitude. And for the rest of the taxpaying citizens who read this, don't take my word for it you observe him then tell me I'm crazy I'm willing to bet you will notice...

The library at Squirrel Hill was built in 1972. In 2004, it was renovated, creating a comfortable, urban, loft-style library overlooking the business district. Offers a variety of areas for reading, studying & working, including four comfy reading nooks built into the Library’s outside wall. Additionally, there are places for the community to gather and connect in spacious meeting rooms or the enclosed garden area. 30 desktop & 17 laptop computers for adult patrons. The children’s section has 9 computers as well. Guests can enjoy a variety of programming for all ages. With an ample covered parking option, this library location is pretty nice. Lots of natural lighting, thanks to the...

I appreciate how focused the staff is on safety. I know a previous review criticized staff from yelling "walking feet" at kids, but I come often enough to see that when staff do ask the kids to walk in a soft and gentle voice, the kids ignore them. But, when they yell, the kids stopped immediately and start walking! I'd rather the kids walk then ignore and continue running and get hurt! So even though other patrons don't appreciate how this library priorities safety and kids, I do! It's a shame that parents aren't making sure their kids are being safe, and I am so thankful that the staff cares about the kids enough to prioritize their safety! Love...
