On July 8th, 2025, I placed an order through GrubHub at the Five Guys location on Freeport Road in Pittsburgh (Aspinwall), PA. I chose this location because it was the closest to my residence. The order was placed at 5:25 pm, and consisted of a BLT, small fries and a milkshake. The delivery was supposed to occur between 6:17 pm and 6:32 pm. While monitoring the delivery person’s route, I noticed that he was headed in an opposite direction, driving as far as Schenley Park in Squirrel Hill!! That started changing the delivery time for my order. I called the driver, who - after mumbling some ineligible words - said he was on his way! Well, here I was, after a long day, waiting to get a simple meal from a nearby establishment. What I received was a cold (literally) order of the most expensive BLT ever ($9.35), same with the french fries ($6.11 for some dry, tasteless, and COLD fries), and a melted milkshake ($6.95).
After eating half of the meal, I started having stomach issues. I will not describe them here, but this was my worst experience with a delivery from a local restaurant via GrubHub. I did not want to reach out to the restaurant because - while I had something akin to food poisoning - I wanted to wait until I was ready to write this review. Needless to say, and in spite of some of this place’s stellar reviews, I will never set foot there or order from them again.
I think Allegheny County Health Department should check them out, and GrubHub be more inquisitive regarding both their restaurants and delivery drivers.

Read moreMy first time visiting this location, but my 6th Five Guys overall. I actually came to shop at another store in the plaza and was pleasantly surprised to see this restaurant, so I decided to make an unexpected stop! It was a Monday evening at around 5:30pm with only a couple other people trickling in and out while I was there. Despite the quiet the 5-6 visible employees all kept busy cleaning the seating area or preparing food, unlike another location I've been to with too much goofing off.
My typical order was prepped and called out in only 7 minutes, very fast. I ate there and as a result the food was super hot and fresh. As always the fries were overflowing the cup (one of my favorite things about Five Guys) and you can see I spilled them all out onto the wrapper in the photo. You really only need to order a small for a single person. Small cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and chocolate shake were very good and on par with other locations. A bit pricey at $18 for one person, but I prefer the taste and quality to other fast food joints and have never really had a bad experience unlike at nearly every McDonald's with sticky floors and screwed up orders. To be fair it was hard to up the price with one of their tasty milkshakes, although I do also love that they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines to mix yourself a perfect...
Read moreThe food is always great here and the interior is always clean. This place beats Burgatory, as far as I'm concerned, when it comes to beef burger goodness. If I could order a Five Guys burger and smuggle it into Burgatory for their appetizers and desserts, I absolutely would. It's not fast food, it's faster food. There's a bit of a wait, but it's always worth it.
Indoor and outdoor seating make this place wonderful year around and I always enjoy cracking a few free peanuts when I order online and happen to arrive for pickup a little bit early. Sometimes I'll even throw some nuts in my bag on my way out. Who cares, they're flippin' free! The burgers are amazing and the smalls are large and the doubles and larges are gigantic (like eat half of one for lunch and have the rest for dinner or lunch tomorrow kind of big).
Always a satisfying treat stopping through here and when you order online they make your fries fresh when you show up to pick up you're order so that they're not sitting getting soggy. ...
