G's On Liberty — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I love G's! They've extended their half price wine options which is great, their service is always so kind, personal, and wonderful, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend G's for a good night out. // I've been driving and walking past G's for the past year and wondering what's been going on inside. It's a super nondescript building, but once you go inside, you'll find a really lovely spacious bar and a lovely back dining room that is a nice respite from the hot weather. G's has an extensive wine list, and a list of half off some bottles on Tuesdays, which was great! We loved the bottle that we got. The service was amazing, incredibly attentive and prompt. We got the mushroom tart, which was so light and well balanced, I was in love. I got the scallops dish and my partner got the boullabaise. The scallops had a little bit of mint in it which just gave the dish an amazing twist, scallops cooked perfectly, portion size was perfect. The boullabaise's shrimp was also perfectly cooked and the flavor was incredible. We finished off the meal with the creme brulee which was just amazing, the chocolate ganache at the bottom really is lovely. G’s on Liberty is a five-star restaurant that is a rare gem among the many. The owner, Grainne, is equally rare with her gifts and talents as an owner providing exceptionally prepared food, service with enormous attention to detail. She is exemplary in being the best of the best as an owner providing an array of exceptional menu options, something for everyone, having phenomenal people skills and being a major contributor to the community.

The food was superb, perfectly prepared, presented artfully and in good taste. The Chef, Eric, and his staff rightfully deserve the accolades for their extraordinary work and service.

Our waitress, Shelby, was also exceptional, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, attentive, patient, understanding, courteous and thoughtful. All other staff members that we encountered are equally professional, courteous and kind.

G’s on Liberty is a must visit for anyone looking for an above-and-beyond dining experience that happens to be in one of Pittsburgh’s local neighborhood, Bloomfield.

There was some confusion upon our arrival. I had met made reservations for two and a party showed up right behind us with a large group. They assumed we were together and told us our table wasn't ready, so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. When they realized that we weren't with that larger party, they apologized and told us they could seat us when we were ready. The hostess later came to our table and apologized again for the confusion. Our server Jess was very nice. My friend and I shared the mushroom tart appetizer, which we both enjoyed. I had the zucchini Parmesan entree and liked it very much. My friend had the beef tacos and thought the tacos were very good but did not like the side of a huge mound of homemade chips.
