Rating: 3 Stars is detailed below. This location is absolute beautifully designed. However, the matters mentioned will explain why I gave 3 stars.
I visited Mango Mango Dessert on November 4, 2024, with a guest who has a food allergy. While the bright interior and charming atmosphere of the Squirrel Hill location were inviting, our experience was marred by a significant issue with ingredient disclosure, particularly regarding allergens.
My guest ordered the Mango Mochi, while I chose the Strawberry Mango Juice Sago & Lychee Jelly with Mango Ice Cream. Unfortunately, the menu did not indicate that the Mango Mochi contained coconut, a known allergen for my guest. The topping, which appeared to be a sprinkle of sugar, turned out to be coconut, and upon taking a bite, my guest immediately noticed the taste and had to quickly spit it out to avoid a potential allergic reaction.
We informed our server, Mia Giovanna K., who was apologetic and acknowledged that the menu lacked proper allergen information. She offered to replace the Mango Mochi with a Pink Peach Oolong Mochi, which was a reasonable substitute, though not as sweet as the original order. Despite the shopâs "No Refunds or Exchanges" policy, Mia kindly made the adjustment, which I appreciated given the seriousness of the situation.
However, I believe Mango Mango Dessert could have done more to accommodate us, especially considering the potential medical risk involved. Allergen labeling is essential for the safety of customers, and I strongly urge the shop to review their menu to ensure all ingredients are clearly marked, to prevent future incidents.
While the staff was responsive and the replacement was appreciated, the lack of allergen transparency is a serious concern that needs to be addressed. This experience could have been much worse if not for quick action, and I hope the shop takes steps to improve ingredient disclosure for the safety...

What made all the different this time was our waitress, Sadie. She was very unpleasant, seemed not interested in servicing us. No matter how nice we were, her mood and performance never improved. Honestly just a bad reflection on the wonderful business, I was very disappointed. Other than that it was great, everything was clean, tasted amazing and decently priced. We did however have an interaction with Clair and she was a breath of fresh air. She was so happy, friendly and all around a model employee. No matter what I love it here!! No one can change that. The quality and the craftsmanship put into the food here is unmatched. Nothing like this in Pittsburgh yet.
My family and I really enjoyed this location. The treats were very fresh and delicious. There was one kiosk to order on your own, this is no other menu on display which I can understand because there are so many options. They have smoothies/ cold drinks, pastries, ice cream, sticky rice and combos that feature ice creams, cold soups and drinksItâs a little inconvenient for those waiting in line. Also if there is a line at the register it can easily run into the dining area. The location is ever popular and efficient but also small, looking forward to seeing more storefronts. After we let staff know we were doing take out we werenât spoken to again. So I recommend to know what youâd like upon arrival. The to go bags were great I had ice cream with my mango rice that held up for a 35ish car ride. It was insulated with a seal to lock in that cold air. Every thing was also packed up very nicely. I would recommend dining in to really enjoy the atmosphere...

If youâre a boba lover, Tiger Sugar is a must-try! I visited recently and ordered their classic Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse, and it was hands down one of the best boba experiences Iâve had. The drink itself is visually stunning, with those signature âtiger stripesâ created by the rich brown sugar syrup swirling through the milk. But itâs not just about the looksâthis drink delivers on taste!
The brown sugar flavor is deep and caramel-like, blending perfectly with the cold, fresh milk for a creamy, indulgent sip. The tapioca pearls are warm and chewy, cooked to perfection, and the addition of the cream mousse on top brings everything together with a slight savory note that balances out the sweetness.
One thing to note is that you canât adjust the sweetness level, but honestly, I didnât find it overwhelmingly sweet. The flavor profile is perfectly crafted, so each ingredient complements the others. Tiger Sugar clearly knows what theyâre doing with their premium ingredients and slow-cooked syrupsâevery sip feels thoughtfully prepared and deliciously satisfying.
Overall, if youâre looking for a unique boba treat thatâs both Instagram-worthy and delicious, Tiger Sugar deserves a...
