I have ordered 40+ times from this place. The food quality and taste is decent. However, the manager and the staff is horrible and rude. 4/7 pizza orders were cold. The last time, I complained and the manager outrightly refused to help. And so did Doordash. As a foodie, I would encourage other fellow foodies not to order from this place as if you run into any issues, the restaurant owner will not help. Quite pathetic customer experience for a loyal customer.
Even in-store experience from a service standpoint is pathetic.
Edit 1: Thank you for blaming the customer. I never asked you for a refund even once. I asked for a hot replacement pizza which apparently is my right or asked you to take the pizza back. I am not sure why you are being salty here. I order from outside daily, and naturally are more prone to get faulty orders. While ordering from your restaurant, I had let it slide it 3 times before actually calling in. Just because I have had previous issues, does not mean I should stop complaining if I get cold food. A cold pizza is not edible unlike a cold dish which can be warmed.
Further, if what You’re saying that Doordash said is true, they would’ve actually blocked me from their platform. Sadly, this isn’t true because I have been a loyal Doordash customer for the last 5 years and also have been a Dashpass member.
Anyway, I don’t need your refund either. I just want the world to know that you’re an extremely rude and unprofessional owner. And thank you for helping me prove my point! Have a great rest...
Read moreThis is an Indian restaurant made specifically for the western palate. If you are Indian or want to experience authentic Indian food, I would skip this place. Honestly, we got swayed by the high ratings not realising that all of these ratings were from Diners, who are not from the subcontinent. When we visited, it was starkly empty, which should have been a red flag, but since it was pretty early in the day, we did not pay much heed to it. Even though we were the only customer at that point, the food still took ages to come. The food is where the things went completely downhill. We ordered two different curries and some bread to share. These two curries were distinctly different type of curries, but yet when they arrived, we could tell that they had used the same sauce in both. I would not actually mind if the sauce was tasty, but it was absolutely not. The spices were raw, and it felt like they had randomly dumped some tomatoes and some spices to make a sauce. one bite of the curry and all of us agreed immediately that we can make better food at home. They had specifically asked us for heat level and we had said 8 of 9 but when the food arrived, it was a two or three on the spice level. Goes again to prove that they are adapting their food to the western Palate. The bread were decent but the Aloo Paratha was a joke, and there was hardly any filling. Honestly, my Best part of the lunch was the diet Coke that I had ordered. I would avoid this restaurant if you want authentic...
Read moreJuly 2021- tried the chicken tikka pizza and the samosa pizza. Very fresh ingredients with the perfect ratio of crust, cheese and toppings. We really enjoyed this unique desi pizza.
May 2021 - Lunch buffet is open again, same outstanding taste, friendliness and value 😃
2019- My favorite North Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh. When you enter, you are greeted warmly as if you have come home for lunch. The ambience and cleanliness is very good, love the music that is playing and the friendly banter with Vick the Manager. He is so personable and proud of his restaurant, always taking time to check on you and the buffet is fully stocked.
The Northern Indian food is fresh, tastes just like home and they have a great variety on their lunch buffet. I love the samosa with chutney to start with, the pastry is light and the filling/pastry ratio is great.
The chicken appetizers and curries are very good and so are the vegetarian curries. They also provide garlic naan, not many buffets do that nowadays.
Good dessert options, my favorite is mixing the rice pudding with Gulab Jamun. And did I say the buffet includes and masala chai. I had to have 2 cups as it was that good.
This place has authentic Indian food, excellent service, great atmosphere and for the price they are very very good.
Visit this place, you will not be disappointed at all. A gem in Lawrenceville...
