The burgers are good I would say about average. A bit over seasoned and way way overpriced. Cost $107 for a couple burgers with a handful of fries. There’s way better burgers in Pittsburgh at a comparable price or even less expensive, for example at urban tap. More than likely won’t be back.
2nd part:. For an owner of come on here and respond like this is completely childish. I didn't bash your organization to promote another. I have an honest review. We eat all over Pittsburgh and you've had a food truck prior to opening here in Greenfield. Your burger is average period and there are many better for a better price. You are overpriced for the area you're in. Take constructive criticism! I talked to many people we know in the area after trying your food, and they thought the same thing. If you're going to open a restaurant, take feedback without attacking back. We are regulars out in the community supporting small businesses, so we are allowed to have an opinion!!!!
And you're welcome for getting my second review ever. Glad you went and checked that out! Attacking customers that don't leave you a perfect review doesn't work for any business, especially as tight knit as we are in Greenfield. Another guy said the same thing about the price point for this area. And another guy complained about the wait and you called him weird. Be a little humble and work to do better with some minor suggestions and all of us will support you. These reactions are...
Read moreGREAT! Closest thing to a real Chicago smash burger (Au Cheval) you’re getting in Pittsburgh. Bun is grilled well, meat overflows the bun, edges could be thinner at the edges but that seems to be the problem with all Pittsburgh smash burgers. Meat was good but bit into a couple pieces of hard gristle. I’m too acutely aware of burger meat these days as I’ve cracked a tooth before on “ground beef” (not sirloin, chuck, short rib, etc) and that usually means it’s not butchered cuts of meat but “mechanically separated” which makes up most ground beef or meat. That would normally make me not eat at the same place again but everything else was stellar. Theirs may be a custom blend. I don’t know, but I didn’t see that displayed anywhere. House fries were shoestring style with some sort of dextrose coating that makes them nice & crispy. Not going for health food if you’re eating here, people. (Fries in pic were from another visit that subbed for standard frozen fries) Ranch = homemade and buttermilky. Yum. Highly recommend. More meat compared to Moonlit’s double, but I prefer less meat on a smash. 1.5-2oz/patty. This smash is more filling if that’s the goal. Also, more $$$ to reflect that, in part. Had sticker shock the 1st visit and was hoping it would be aged for that price like a BurgerBuff style. Still, quality was above average. Have been twice. Overall awesome! Great job guys! You’re now on my “Must Check Out ‘n’at” list I give to...
Read moreThere is no sign what so ever to let you know “seat yourself” unless you approach to the bar to find out about it. For first time visitor this can be confusing for people, a simple sign would be very helpful.
Quality of the burger is a tad bit lower than your average burger, nothing special. The edges on the patties are super crispy where they are almost burnt.. once you clear that and get to the bun area, it’s get better. Very basic burger and fries cost roughly $18 no drink. Burger doesn’t even have lettuce tomato pickles etc… just caramelized onions and their sauce. Shrimp basket was alright.
Place didn’t have napkins during our visit so kitchen cooker had to give me a small amount of paper towel roll cut up. Not super friendly, or customer service...
