This is a hard review to write, because the coffee is great and the staff is so kind. The food however, is not at all worth the price. Pictured below is a $12 breakfast sandwich (not including soggy tomato and wilted lettuce I took off) that was cold with no offer to warm it for me. I completely respect that they source from local businesses but this was not worth even a fraction of what I paid. That being said, the coffee is absolutely worth it, and the pastries may be. Just don't grab food from the cooler.

A charming little coffee shop with great coffee and fantastic pastries! It reminded me of Italy! We visited the shop this morning. My husband had an Apple Handpie and I had a Bacon Cheddar Scone. Both are very delicious! So glad now it opened one in Oakland as well right in the hotel we are staying. We will definitely come back every time we visit Pitt!

I've been to this cafe a couple times. The staff is really nice and you can get creamy lattes and vegan-friendly snacks (overnight oats, chia pudding, etc). It's small, so not ideal for doing work if it is busy (and it can get busy). But overall, a really cute spot.

I have went there between classes a few times and the staff are friendly and welcoming. it’s a cute small cafe and there are indoor seating if you choose to eat and do your work there. Personally i hate writing reviews for a shop with workers that are so nice but I don't think i will be getting anything anymore. Today i spent about 12 dollars for a scone and iced latte with vanilla syrup and almond milk and the scone was alright, a bit dry for my liking but not terrible. However the coffee was horrid. It tasted like mud/dirt and had a weird pumpkin flavor aftertaste. I could not stomach it and had to throw it away. I have had coffee from there before and it’s always been mid or terrible. I thought it was just me who was ordering the wrong thing but i have tried a few variations and i just cant seem to like any. But that may just be my personal taste. I do suggest everyone give it a try because they really are nice and have a warm atmosphere...

I didn't realize how close a Tazza D'Oro or good coffee shop was to me at work. I've been hoofing it to the excellent Red Hawk or going on CMU campus. I saw this was only quick walk away and it was on point. I love it's a small cafe. I'm not concerned with the sit down space or lingering there as I just wanted to get an afternoon oat milk cap and a cookie. The cappuccino was so good ... the milk was steamed perfectly and kudos to the barista who knew what they were doing. They are using such good coffee and the cookie was good. Spent about $7.50 for both. ...
