I frequent this location. It’s a variety pack, with 6 packs to go! The owner’s Italian roots shine in his expansive pub food menu. Staff are friendly and mostly neighborhood community members. You’ll often find the games (emphasis on soccer) on the tv, with one or two tvs showing a variety to entertain everyone. Karaoke nights, soccer game day events, cure breast cancer fundraisers (at the Pink Pony Pub!), Morningside Pride, private events, dog street festivals, Tuesday trivia; a lot of happenings. There was even a disco, once! Between the events you’ll find quiet cozy nights with local patrons happy to share a smile. The owner, Jessie, is passionate about his pub and you’ll see him there every day making the magic happen. It also has darts, a side patio with umbrella tables, small dog park in the patio area, ATM, sidewalk seating, and a TouchTunes. There are non-alcoholic beers in the cooler alongside their large variety. The walls are lined with photos and fun trinkets from memories past.
Search for their insta and find the time for you. Maybe I’ll bump...
Read moreI was disappointed with our visit to Bulldog Pub. Atmosphere was great with a typical pub feel. The reviews seemed very promising and the place was packed. People were super nice and welcoming. We were able to secure a table after grabbing a drink from the bar. We ordered just a few things- loaded nachos, side salad, and one of the sandwiches. We waited for about a half an hour before we asked what the status of our food was (nicely). The server/bartender said “we are packed and it’s going to be awhile.” About 15 minutes later our food came out. The nachos were not what I would call loaded. They had a couple different cheeses and we add grilled chicken. They were cold. My salad was tasty but the tomatoes were bad in it. The sandwich was pretty good and so were the fries that came with it. We were able to get one drink refill when we asked about the food. I’d give it another try because the sandwich...
Read moreHey there! I just wanted to share my thoughts on where we should eat after visiting the Pittsburgh Zoo. You definitely need to check out this place and tell your wife that the food is amazing! I brought my two kids, a five-year-old and a three-year-old, and we all loved it.
I had the meatball sandwich, which was incredible. I could hardly contain myself while eating it! The fries were hands down the best I’ve ever had. We also ordered some wings, which were outstanding—coming from a guy from Buffalo, New York, I can say they lived up to the hype.
My kids ordered grilled cheese and French bread pizza, and they didn’t say a word while devouring their meals. The staff was wonderful and provided great recommendations, and unlike many places, their suggestions were spot on. We will definitely be returning...
