Had this place for a work lunch. The menu looks pretty authentic and they have home made flour tortillas, so it's gotta be good right? I was very wrong. This is a very "Americanized" mexican joint. The salsa is basically pureed tomatoes, not much flavor there, and 0 heat. No horchata on the menu which was a disappointment. I had the bistec tampico and it was bland. The only reason this place is getting 3* is because of the service and home made tortillas. I'm sure I could have asked for more, but they only give ya 3 with a dinner. They were really good tortillas though. Also tried the queso fundido with chorizo. They make it with oxaca cheese I think it is and serve it with chips, its more of a rich cheese sauce type of stuff. I prefer it with stretchy Chihuahua cheese served with tortillas. Our server was awesome, and the food came out really fast. Prices are fairly expensive and they don't really have ala carte tacos. It's $20 for 3 tacos. For me, unless someone else is paying, it is not my type of place to eat. Thanks for the great service despite the food.

This place has been on my radar for years, but I had never made it over to check it out; I am glad that I finally did. Many restaurants can make very good food, but the mark of a great restaurant is how they handle a mistake. I ordered a beef tip chimichanga, but something was mixed up in the kitchen and I received a chicken one. After a delicious bite, I realized the mistake and mentioned it to the server when he passed by. Within a couple of minutes, I had a steaming hot correction which was also delicious. The cheese sauce for the tortillas was also good. My only suggestion is that, if you are hungry, don't order the lunch portion (not the fault of the restaurant....I should have known better 😀).

Attempted to try the Blue Agave for the first time this evening. Typically, I try a restaurant 2-3 times before providing feedback, so that the feedback is based on an honest conclusion; however tonight became an exception to my own rule due to the sheer number of exceptionally inexcusable, yet unapologetic instances that left my family and I completely flabbergasted. To be quite honest; I am not sure as to where I should start. Upon arrival we were seated, where we were left sitting unattended for approximately 20 minutes. When the waitress decided to recieve us and take our drink orders, it wasn't without an exceptional attitude. Later, she came back to take our orders where on multiple occasions we were directly told "No" when attempting to order our food, rather than advising of a potential price difference for an additional side or altering to accommodate for a food allergy. Upon receiving the food, my order was incorrect, yet she didn't have any interest in having the food remade. My son's food was wrong. When telling the waitress the flauta was supposed to be chicken, the waitress took my son's utensils out of his hands,, took the plate that I was using AT THAT EXACT SECOND to place the vegetables that I specifically stated that I did NOT want and began to dissect his flauta at our table; as if he or us were lying about the flauta being beef, when he requested chicken. The audacity! I have never seen a server take the utensils out of a person's hand and then perform an extensive surgery, as if to prove the customer wrong. Furthermore, his replacement flauta was sitting in a pond of water and cool to the touch, which means the chicken was NOT cooked to temperature before serving. My quesadilla Mexicana was cold and was also sitting in a lake of water, in addition to being incorrectly made. In short 3:4 meals were incorrect and not properly prepared, the service was by far the worst I have experienced my 45 years of life, the food lacked any form of flavor and after putting us through complete hell for a meal, there weren't any credits whatsoever, even though our meals were repeatedly incorrect and prepared. Such a sad and missed opportunity to make a new series of customers, as we just moved to New Albany. Never again and no amount of damage control will convince us to come back. Unfortunate. We will share our experience in hopes of having a...

We ordered delivery recently, our first try of Blue Agave. I got 3 soft tacos, a chicken tamale, my husband got the chimicanga suprema, and we split the queso fundido con chorizo. We were excited and hungry... And ended up incredibly disappointed. My 3 taco shells had such a miniscule amount of ground beef in them, and we're very soggy on the bottom where they'd steamed in the container. The beef had zero flavor - just a light taste of beef. I added the toppings (cheese, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce) and it was still bland as could be. I added sour cream and taco sauce that I had on hand, and it wasn't going to save these soggy, sad tacos. I ended up throwing them out. Same with the tamale - which I was the most excited about, because it's hard to find good chicken tamales here - zero flavor to it and the sauce. My search continues. The queso was meh - again, no seasoning to it, even with chorizo, and quite oily. It was only slightly better when reheated, but not much. My husband ate some of his chimicanga, but more of the same with another no flavor dish.

We didn't keep any of the leftovers. Even the chips were blah - could've at least salted them. The only thing we realized about Blue Agave's food is there is only one thing that appears to be consistent - lack of flavor and seasoning. If this were a cooking competition show, they'd have been sent home. If I could give zero stars I would. He reviewed on Uber Eats as well, with the lowest possible rating and similar notes. Needless to say, we won't be...

Overall, MOST of the staff here was nice and welcoming and the food was good. My waitress on the other hand…made me feel like I was not wanted there. She was didn’t smile 1 time with us and she came off very dismissive and rushed us multiple times. When we asked her for a couple minutes to order, she just walked away rudely. It felt like we were inconveniencing her and we felt very uncomfortable. As we observed every other table she interacted with, she was all smiles and seemed happy to help them. We felt rushed to finish and leave the table as she brought the receipt to us quickly and kept interrupting our conversation while we were enjoying a full drink, to ask for the credit card. I work for a reputable company known for customer service and the service I was given was not good at all. I was even going to order more food to go but I no longer wanted to deal with her attitude. This was my first time here and I genuinely don’t feel comfortable returning. The food was seasoned well and every other staff member we came in contact with besides our waitress was very friendly. I hope nobody else experiences what I experienced today. 0/10 customer service from...
