Doggie Diner — Restaurant in Plainfield

RUDE MANAGER I have been going to this location for over 6 years and called in an order. I initially asked her what were the specials for today in which she described. I then asked her about a philly cheesesteak combo that they have listed above the cashiers head with a fry and drink and she proceeds to cut me off and say that it is not part of the special. She also let me know that this is not Mc Donalds. LOLOL I clearly understood that considering she just ran off the items on the special. I asked her about the philly steak meal and requested Mayo to be added which I have always done and I was told that it was an extra charge which I NEVER was charged before but she continued to let me know in the most condescending tone that they always charge for whatever is not on the sandwich and how she is related to the owner therefore she knows. I explained to her that we never were charged for it in the past. I don't know where this lady came from and if the owner reads this, he needs to move her to the cook station and out of the way of customers. I have been frequenting Doggie Diner in Plainfield for some time now. Over the last few months I have been there 2-3 times a week. Over the last month I have purchased the Italian Sausage sandwich several times. The portion size was great, a full link on french bread. Today I purchased the Italian Sausage and it was a link cut in half. I asked if they were cutting down on the size since it was half of what I got last week. The person behind the counter said they are all that size. That did not answer the question. I guess I will need to look foe another hot dog shop to frequent in the future. I tried to contact them via Facebook Messenger since they have no contact info other than a phone number (which would just get me in contact with the same person I talked to at the store). Went for lunch with my husband and the fires were cold. When I approached the cook to inform, he said they had just come out the fryer, I reiterated and asked him to touch them that they were cold. He snatched my basket took the hot dog out and put it in another, pretty much threw it across the counter, when the fries came out in a sarcastic way he started to count out loud backwards from 10 and said see, right out the fryer and threw those across the counter as well. I asked him did I throw my hot dog and fries at you? That was extremely rude of you! I asked for his managers number Christy and called her. She was super empathetic and apologetic.
