Great Wall of China — Restaurant in Plainfield

Ordered out today for me and my family, me and my family have been going here for over two years. We drive 45 minutes to get here and 45 minutes back. That's how great the food USED to be. Stopped in today for an order of my usual fried rice and when I arrived home the fried rice was lacking to say the least. The rice had no flavor, was over cooked, and lacking the usual color to the extent that the rice was still white. This being my favorite chinese restaurant, I was astounded so I called to make them aware and see if I could get my order remade because I understand accidents happen. However, I was surprised to get a different kind of respect than the respect I had given to the business. The manager (WALTER) was very disrespectful, blamed me for my food being cooked wrong and tasting wrong. Even went as far to tell me word for word "TAKE YOUR ASS TO TASTE OF CHINA IF YOU DONT LIKE IT" I was astounded at this. If it is needed to say, I and/or my family of seven or any of our friends will never be back because it was made very clear that I or my family's business is unwanted, unneeded and a family or individuals dollar is not valued here. Never again! Additionally I was charged twice when I went in for a refund, absolutely ridiculous. Then told me I had to wait two weeks to get my money spent here...

If I could give this place 0 stars I most certainly would. The last two times I’ve attempted to order takeout here have been terrible experiences. From the customer service to the food to the sanitation. This last visit takes the cake. I ordered a small fried rice with bean sprouts only amongst other items. Upon checking my food before I left, I noticed a piece of thread in my rice; it was sticking up right out of all the rice & sprouts. A white thin thread not even the circumference of the ball point of a pen. I know the difference between fabric & food so instead of going back and forth, I asked for a refund of that specific item. The woman at the register proceeded to try & convince me what I was seeing was a bean sprout; becoming visibly aggravated and rude. I asked again for a refund for that one item, she goes on a rant about how she will make a note for my account because we always have issues when we come there. LOL. There is only one time other than tonight in which I have had an issue with them; but these times are truly gut wrenching. This place is unsanitary, the employees are rude, and the food gives you stomach aches after consumption. Will never get my...

I am not one to leave low rated reviews often, but I am disgusted. My husband and I ordered take out from here tonight and it was by far the worst chicken I have ever experienced in my life. I got Sesame and he got Orange, and both of our chicken was so disgusting that we threw it straight in the garbage after one piece. I wouldn’t even consider it chicken as it had the consistency of a sponge and looked grey inside. My husband never passes up chicken, especially orange chicken, so you know it’s bad for him to not even tough it out. I tried the rice before the chicken and it was not bad, but I completely lost trust in this place after seeing how absolutely disgusting the chicken they served us was, so I threw the rice out too. Not to mention, it was not cheap. The cost was on the higher end for Chinese food. We don’t eat out too often because of our budget, so we essentially just threw half of our eating out budget for the month straight in the garbage. This was supposed to be a fun date night in for us, and I am extremely disappointed. I feel nauseated just thinking about it!! I would never recommend someone to eat here for health reasons, and I feel cheated out...
