The Side Door Pub and Stage — Restaurant in Plainfield

Several friends and I met to eat last night at The Side Door Pub and Stage last night. It was my first time and I had heard that the breaded tenderloin sandwich was the "thing" to try! We were greeted by our waiter shortly after we were seated and ordered soft drinks and water ( we were not drinking on weeknight). All of us ordered the tenderloin and were advised how big they were, and 4 out of the 5 of us, chose to split our sandwiches. I chose pickle fries as my side, which were really good with a nice batter coating! When the tenderloins came, we noted that even the half sandwiches were very big! They were also very meaty and not all breading. I noticed they had a tangy, peppery taste. I absolutely loved the flavor which seemed to get better as I ate it! I still had to take half of my half sandwich home, because it was a bit thicker than ones I have had elsewhere. I have to admit, that it was truly the best tenderloin I had ever had. This was our 1st time here ... Thursday evening ... about 20 ppl total in the place. Food is standard bar food. Good but nothing spectacular. Staff is friendly but service is poor. There were 3 servers behind the bar. After waiting 10 min, I went to the bar & asked if we could get service. I was told they were in a shift change & to order at the bar. I placed our drink order & got a menu. After another 15min, I went back to the bar & was asked if I was ready to order. I ordered buffalo chicken tenders. Cook brought them out. Said he forgot to toss them & he was too busy to take them back & do it "there's a side of sauce, just dip them". There is a table with all the condiments, utensils, etc that you get yourself. 10-8-25 I had came in during the day ran up a 56 dollar tab and tipped Chelsea 14 dollars. I was in the bar a few hours and was never asked to leave, I came back in 2 or the 3 hours Later and Jennifer wouldn't serve me. I have not been in this bar for about 4 months I had an incident happen 4 months ago where I had to leave it without paying my tab.
