Was extremely disappointed...it is COVID season so with some forgiveness.... I live around the corner, was excited to go out with my 2 bff’s called in the afternoon made an outdoor reservation, when we arrived we seemed to bothering the staff all sitting at a table in the back, finally they said oh well we don’t have propane for the heaters, to which we said can we sit at a table (not a single other customer in the place), sometime later they said sure you can sit inside, to which we said it’s okay we will just get a couple of bottles and food to go.....we spent enough and absolutely still tipped but they (manger and cook....hostess was sweet) still acted like we were putting them out. We have lived in Plainfield for almost a year (moved in right before everything changed due to COVID) and had been meaning to make it to the Wine and Cheese Company. We are so mad at ourselves for not going in sooner!! The wine and cheese selection were excellent. The staff were friend and helpful and very obviously love what they do. We got a bottle of wine and cheese plate for two and were pleased not only with the flavor and pairings, but also found the price to be very reasonable for the quality and care provided. We will be back!

Update: years later, we have had almost everything on the menu, been to a few events, have had catering by Wine and Cheese, and have had many date nights here. I usually have a great experience here but I called the other day after seeing a Facebook post about ordering catering for Easter. The woman who answered the phone said they weren’t open yet but she could definitely help me. That was great. It went downhill after that. She has to call her manager for help and didn’t put me on hold and I heard their conversation with her saying ‘ I don’t know why I answered the phone without knowing the number’. Very rude and if you told me you were closed I would’ve called back another time. Then today I needed to update my order and before passing me to whoever takes care of that I heard them say ‘ugh!’.
