I have been wanting to try Krema sinced I moved to Plainfield almost a year ago . The day finally came . it was packed !! That wasnt the problem we order and waited understood the wait due to how busy it was. My partner recieved her food and coffee after 10 mins . I contiue to wait no promblem . the gentleman that was making sandwhiches was too busy talking to a customer (which he knew peroanally )who was making other clients uncomfortable and moved because of how obnoxious he was being . The client mentioned to the worker makinng the sanwhiches "this isnt as much as a sh#*hole that you made it seem" . My first time coming here that not what I wanted to hear . After about another 15 mins asked the worker of he had completed my ticket he said yes. I still was missing krema sandwhich . I went to the cashier I wanted to change my sandwhich she said it would probably be another 20min wait . Im sorry 40mins for a $10 sanwhich thats insane . I was really hoping for a better experience. Also it seems as if the owner knew the issue and didnt acknowledged me or the issue - A young lady with pink hair who refunded me my money was more concerned and at least tried to rectify the situation at that point but i was just...
Read moreI went to Krema out of curiosity since it seems like a pretty well known place. I walked in, ordered a coffee to the baristas suggestion (which was nearly $7 for a 16 oz), and sat down to do some work on my laptop. The problem was, I could not focus because there was some screeching noise going nonstop... A fan? A broken speaker? Couldn’t tell you, but I can say it was disruptive. Also, the staff was not wearing their masks but still engaging closely with other coworkers and customers. It just did not seem very professional, and customers asked to have their areas cleaned due to the poor standing of their seating places. (I wish I did... I just brushed the crumbs to the side). I am very disappointed because I was so excited to try this place so close to home and my commute to work, but I don’t think I will be back. The customer service was nothing to talk highly of, the atmosphere was not even on the same spectrum as the other coffee shops in the area I’ve been to. Not to mention, the very pricey coffee I purchased I didn’t even want to finish— the taste just wasn’t what I was expecting. They do roast their coffee in the cafe which is a nice touch however. On a more positive note, they had a great music...
Read moreWe LOVE this place! I've been here multiple times now and every time the food and drinks have been delicious. The seasonal drinks are always fun and different...I recently had a violet vanilla latte from the spring menu and I've wanted to go back and get another one every day since. Ive had a few food items....they have a good selection of fun avocado toasts and sandwiches. Top fvaes are the goat cheese sandwich and the avocado toast with nuts and honey. The building itself is on the smaller side...very cute little cafe vibes but just remember that if you plan on bringing a wheelchair or a stroller. They sell merch and even have some dog biscuits for purchase from what looks to me to be local businesses, which I love. Parking isn't too bad...you need to be a parallel queen (I am not) for the street parking or you can just drive down a street or two and make a right by the bird and board game shop to find the free parking lot. But as far as coffee goes, this place is worth it for the flavors...
