Unfortunately, this was a less than great experience. Food quality seems to have been on the decline over the past several years. I understand the difficulties with Staffing, so I don't expect rocket ship service. Our server was very friendly but both the initial ordering and delivery of the food was very slow. There were probably only three other families in the restaurant while we were there so it wasn't particularly busy.
And the food itself was very Bland and not well cooked. We had four different types of entrees between us, and the food was mostly room temperature.
Unfortunately things did not improve with the ice cream, which is usually a high point as the fudge and Carmel on our ice creams wasn't warm at all.
$120 ( plus $21 tip for the poor overworked waitress) for four people to have burgers, chicken, and chix tenders and fries and Sundays isn't unreasonable at a family friendly place if the food is good.
But the food was mediocre at best.
And unfortunately the restaurant was not very clean. The booth was sticky that we sat in, and the table had sticky spots on it as well. And the restaurant smelled like body odor in certain areas.
I like Friendly's and always have. My kids and their friends also enjoy it. But the last several experiences have been subpar to...
Read moreFirst time ever at this particular Friendly’s and it was an absolute pleasure thanks to our young and upcoming server Julianna! My daughter and I eat out somewhere different 5 days a weeks due to our busy schedules with no time to cook, and this was one of our best dinning experiences by far! Julianna was very attentive and must have checked on us more than 5 times in between to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything else. My daughter didn’t care for the BBQ sauce on her tenders and Julianna was so apologetic for something that wasn’t even her fault. When in fact Julianna did everything right and then some going above and beyond the call of duty! Even after saying our goodbyes when the check was brought out, Julianna shouted across the restaurant as we were at the door “Have a good night guys, thank you so much!” Such a great kid whose parents have raised her well with proper manners along with her manager training her thoroughly! I would hope my younger daughter in her teen years carries herself self in the same professional manner with such a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor as this young lady. Although I no longer live in this area, I will most definitely stop in again with my daughter when I am and hope to have Julianna as our server...
Read moreCheck your receipt carefully and make sure they give you a receipt. Yesterday I stopped in there with my daughter and ordered two ice creams to go. They rang me up but didn't offer a receipt nor was there a tablet for a tip amount. I felt it was strange but didn't really think twice about it because I was more focused on the fact that my daughter got a Jim Dandy and was told afterwards that there were no bananas left. I don't know what the difference between that and a regular sundae is. I myself ordered a Reese's Pieces sundae and kept commenting to my daughter that it tasted like it was off. The two sundaes came to $19.30. This morning I login to check for something on my credit card and I see that there are two charges one for the $19.30 and one for $5. I immediately became suspicious that this was the reason why I was not offered a receipt. I left a message for the corporate office online as well as called to speak with local management who to this point have not called me back. I now I'm showing a combined pending charge for $24.30. Not only was the product poor but it appears that an unauthorized tip was also added to my credit card. Hopefully I'll receive a response back from somebody because I'll be disputing...
