My friends & I have been returning customers at Lemon Food for the past two years. We have always enjoyed the quality of their food, the cost effectiveness, and the speed of service. Recently we put in an order for 8 tacos. We asked that no cheese be added to our tacos due to a dietary restriction. The young lady that took our order incorrectly took the information down. 3 chicken tacos were cheese free, but the rest of the tacos were topped with cheese. We noticed the error when we arrived home to which my friend promptly called Lemon Food to inform them of the mishap. Instead of being apologetic, whomever was on the other line (maybe the owner, maybe one of the cooks) insinuated that my friend was the one at “fault”. However this is not the first time that the young lady at the register has incorrectly taken an order or at times will forget to add items such as guacamole in the bag. In any event they said they would replace our order at no cost. We arrived with the original tacos. When our correct order was ready we politely asked for the FREE green sauce. Seeing as we also didn’t get the correct number of sauces the first time around as well. I am a Spanish speaker and I heard the young lady tell one of the gentlemen that we needed more of the green sauce in a sharp tone. To which the man said to my friend, “We will have to charge you for that.” Needless to say this was a very petty move by both the young lady and the man behind the counter. Sadly this experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We wish Lemon Food success in their future, but we will not be returning after...
Read moreI tried this taco truck (they call it a restaurant, it’s not) for the first time today. I’ve been wanting to for some time. It was not worth the effort to go there!! Prices are outrageous for one taco ($3.49) yes that’s for one. But I was reluctant and said maybe it will be a full taco, nope, some beef about 5 pieces of lettuce mozzarella cheese and was supposed to have cilantro and onions, received neither. Came with 2 pickled radishes(not of fan of pickled) and 3 cucumbers. When handed my tacos they tried taking back one of the hot sauces because I said spicy, I want the green one too, hello. Not right to take back some food after giving it to the customer. When I paid for my tacos, I ordered 2 it came to $8.88, it was supposed to be $8.41 but when they saw I was using a card they changed the price to $8.88 which was totally wrong for using a card( illegal) I will not be going back, ever to this establishment and I am telling you all not to go yourselves. Not worth it!!! Save...
Read moreSome of the best parking lot tacos I ever had, period.
Plenty of free condiments (salsa verde & rojo, lime, cucumber, radish) and assorted drinks, American AND Mexican Coca-Cola, and plenty of benches in the shade and in the sun.
The carnitas tacos were on-point, lime and cucumber were fresh, and customer service was precise and fair. Sometimes, it is difficult to order traditional style food when you do not speak the Native language of the establishment and the prices change but not here, very polite and curteous establishment.
YOU HAVE TO TRY THE SALSA VERDE! It was sweet yet had very, very subtle notes of spice but no heat.
YOU HAVE TO TRY THE SALSA ROJA TOO! The salsa rojo had waaay more heat/spice than their Verde but it had a distinct smokey flavor on the back-end...
