Experience was good, but a little discombobulated at times with room for improvement.

Hostess was friendly and got us seated quickly with waters. It was very quiet considering that we were here at 6pm on a Saturday. We were then bombarded with menu after menu of options. I think when all was said and done there were 5 different menu varieties on the table from the special to the regular menu to the cocktail menu and even a separate menu for drinks. This is definitely excessive and should be parred down somehow because the amount of papers flying around the table was quite amusing. Our hostess had said that our waitress would be over soon, but this ended up being a few minutes longer than expected. When our waitress did come over she was friendly, and explained that she was looking for fig jam in the kitchen. Amused by the coincidence, we ordered the charcuterie board with fig jam and our drinks at this time. The lavender fizz off the special cocktail menu was definitely on the almost too sweet side, but fairly refreshing. The charcuterie board was good with your basic meats and cheeses. one negative was that there were only three tiny pieces of bread on it. Hardly enough bread for the number of other items on the board. I would definitely either use thinner slices to make the bread go further or use something else that you can put more of with a charcuterie board of this size. Things got a little weird when another new employee we hadn’t seen yet brought us out the standard sliced bread and oil while we were halfway through our appetizer. Timing of this felt odd and I would have definitely preferred it before or at the start of the charcuterie. Our waitress also waited an oddly long amount of time before getting our meal order. We were almost done with our charcuterie before dinner was ordered, so there was quite a bit of downtime between it and our meal. I ordered the scallops and risotto while my parents ordered the gnocchi with bolognese and the beef/mushroom pappardelle. The gnocchi and pappardelle dishes were tasty, but the Parmesan risotto lacked flavor. There was also so much risotto that even with the scallops chopped into quarters and taking a bite of risotto with every piece, there was still an excessive amount. I wish there was less risotto with more flavor instead the other way around. The deserts from a local bakery were delicious. We enjoyed the cheesecake, tiramisu, and affogato. Overall, the value was there, but a few things kept this review back from being a 5 star raving write up. Nothing was so bad that it would prevent us from going back, but I also wasn’t blown away by the experience. The amount of TVs all around inside also feels a little informal compared to the vibes portrayed by the menu, but this may be a subjective opinion. I wish this business the best and hope they...

I came here with family and friends a couple times and it is definitely on our weekly places to go! There is lots of space inside, with a warm welcome feeling! The servers and bartenders were great and we even got to meet the owner, which should be very proud of his new place! The drinks were delicious, but the food was even better! The spinach artichoke dip was so flavorful and the consistency was perfect. My husband loves Octopus, so he ordered it as an appetizer. He was very impressed with the app, and said it was the best he has ever had! My burger was cooked perfectly and the Nashville chicken sandwich was actually spicy which we were very happy about! My mother had the meatballs and she was part of the clean plate club! Overall experience both times were 10/10 and we can’t wait to...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars Bistro 24 – Downtown Plainville A friend recommended Bistro 24 and told me to ask for Natalie.. so glad we listened! When my son and I arrived, Natalie was bartending, but she didn’t miss a beat when we asked to sit outside. She was super accommodating and made us feel right at home. My son ordered a hot dog, which came grilled on a perfectly buttered bun with crispy fries; classic and done right. I had the chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce, and wow… it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generously portioned. You can really taste the care that goes into the food here. Service was top-notch — our drinks were always full, and the vibe was relaxed but attentive. Big shoutout to the chef for delivering such a great meal. We’ll...
