I want to start by saying—I LOVE CAVA. I've visited locations across the U.S., from the East Coast to the South and beyond, and it’s one of my go-to spots for a quick, flavorful, and healthy meal. Unfortunately, this particular location has consistently been the worst of them all.
I’ve given them multiple chances—at least four separate visits, including dine-in, takeout, and delivery. Each time, something has gone wrong.
First, the vegetables never taste fresh. There's a distinct thawed-out, soggy quality to them—almost like they’ve been frozen and re-thawed. It’s a noticeable drop in quality compared to other CAVA locations.
Second, the pita chip and pita bread situation is frustrating. I’ve had to ask for the free pita bread more than once—sometimes it’s left out entirely, or they assume that because I’m buying pita chips I don’t need it. (Spoiler: I still want the pita bread.) And don’t expect warm chips—they’re always cold, and when I politely asked if they could be warmed, I got a look like I had insulted the chef.
What really gets me is that this location is never that busy when I visit—yet I’m constantly reminding staff what I ordered. If the place was slammed, I’d understand. But with a quiet line and a calm dining area, there’s really no excuse.
To top it off, I gave delivery a shot. Big mistake. Two out of the three entrees I ordered were completely missing. When I called to report the issue, the response I got was, “Oops, here it is sitting right in front of me.” No apology. No accountability.
At this point, it’s clear—this location needs stronger management and better training. It doesn't reflect the CAVA standard I’ve come to love and expect.
Save yourself the frustration and choose another location...
Read moreThe CAVA off Park and Preston in Plano is one of my favorite spots for a fresh, flavorful, and customizable meal. The atmosphere is clean and modern, and the ingredients always look vibrant and freshly prepared. You can really taste the quality in everything – from the perfectly seasoned proteins to the crisp vegetables and bold dressings.
During my visit, Daniel helped me with my order, and he was incredibly friendly and patient. He took the time to explain the different options, made suggestions based on what I liked, and made the experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s rare to find that level of customer service at a fast-casual restaurant, and it made a big difference.
The bowls themselves are generous and packed with flavor. I love the variety of toppings and how you can mix and match to create something unique every time. The pita and hummus on the side are always fresh and soft, a perfect complement to the meal.
For cons, the only thing I’d mention is that it can get crowded during peak lunch hours, which sometimes means waiting a bit longer to get through the line. But honestly, the staff here handles the rush well, and the food is worth the wait.
Overall, this CAVA location delivers on quality food and excellent service. Shoutout to Daniel for making the experience even better – he sets a great example of customer care. Definitely a go-to spot in Plano if you’re looking for something healthy, filling,...
Read moreThis experience was awful. Even though the food was decent—steak was chewy, flavor is lacking, all food was room temp—I will not eat at CAVA again unless it’s free. We ordered food for delivery under the guise the delivery was “free” according to the promotion. After checking out and questioning why our tab was so high, we realized the cost of each item was increased by $2-3 because we chose delivery. And this was in addition to the $2.99 Service fee being charged to “offset delivery costs.” I ended up spending $23 more for this “free” delivery than I would have for pick up. When we received our food an hour later, we only received 1 of the 5 items we ordered. I called the store to let them know and was bluntly told, “We cant do anything about that. DoorDash delivers your food, so you’ll need to call them to figure it out.” This was news to me as I placed my order on the CAVA website and there was nothing stating my order was fulfilled through DoorDash. So then I call DoorDash to ask them to request our driver go back, get our food, and have it delivered. We were told the driver refused to go back, and there was nothing DoorDash could do. So after all of this trouble, we ended up picking up our own food anyway—2 hours later. I am so disappointed in every, single step of this transaction. I hope you all find a way to make things right for your customers because this was bad...
