I've visited many Courtyards across the country. Here's how this one compares:
Pros: The lighting over the sink was amazing. It was a huge panel that emitted a nice soft light without being too bright, making it perfect for makeup and getting ready. Outlets were done really well. In addition to the typical outlets over the sink and above the nightstands, there were outlets (including USB outlets) on the couch armrest and on top of the desk. The desk had another desk beneath it that rolled out - so you got double desk space! I really liked the couch. It was stylish and unique. The armrests were wooden and flat, so if someone was using the pullout, they would have small tables to put a phone or glasses on. One of the armrests was low, probably around mattress level. The shower had a bar across one corner sorta near the ground, so you could elevate your foot when shaving I quite liked the color scheme. It was dark woods with navy. The desk lamp lit up the room really well The AC controller on the wall was completely digital The AC unit was pretty quiet I got 2 makeup wipes whenever the room was cleaned! 5 minutes from the hospital
Cons: The room did not give off clean vibes. There were stains on the ottoman and a wall, which I know isn't entirely the hotel's fault and this is a rented space, but I still felt a bit uncomfy. One trash can. The trash cans are already too small, and this Courtyard only gave me one of them! The hotel is a long thin rectangle, and the reception desk is at one end instead of in the middle. The elevator is pretty far from the font desk, and you pass the big suites on your way. This also makes parking kind of weird. The comforter was extremely heavy, and the extra blanket was extremely thin. I was sweating every night I was there, even after taking off my pajamas and turning up the AC The bathroom was large. The door swung all the way out (180°), and it honestly felt like a really inefficient design. But large bathrooms are also nice, so eh? The headboard didn't feel entirely attached to the wall- I wasn't worried it would fall, but it did move a bit when I messed with the lamps attached to it The TV was by the side of the bed, not by the couch. It also took up a good bit of counter space.
Notes: I stayed in a Queen room The closet was across from the sink The shower was the dual sliding doors style There was a...
Read moreAfter choosing this location as a cost-effective and convenient place to stay (location wise) while visiting family for the last decade (or more) we will never stay here again.
I understand businesses are doing their best during the current COVID environment, so I was very cool about all of the issues we encountered, up until I spoke with the manager.
The manager, Tyran Woolridge, is wildly unprofessional and the way he treated me is unacceptable, especially for someone in the hospitality business.
We’ve always been able to overlook the dated facility and basic amenities because of the convenient location. During this stay, we had no hot water, and as I tried to explain to “Ty” how it was only partially handled, he cut me off, and would not listen me explain our experience. He was unwilling to hear what happened, as his team did not provide adequate solutions for our situation. I’m shocked that Marriott would have someone who would behave this way on their staff, let alone in a position with an ounce of authority.

Just spoke with corporate and it’s being handled. Still will not stay at this location out of concern for the safety of my family because of the GM’s rude and aggressive behavior.
I will be taking his advice in a way, when he said “this is a business ma’am, if you do not like it, you do not have to return” - (he said this as his employees were gathered around and audibly laughing).
Reasons we will not return to this location: Tyran Woolridge (the GM)‘s behavior Bedding had light yellow stains No hot water Stray hairs in bathroom on arrival Remote/phones did not appear to be sanitized Actually, the phone in our room didn’t even work, but it wasn’t that big of a deal because there were 2 (we had a suite). General cleanliness was sub par Limited to no food/bev available onsite (but it’s advertised as available) Facility feels very dated, which is fine when it’s clean, but when it’s not clean, it’s just gross. Rude staff encounter at front door at 10:58pm When they said an engineer would come fix the hot water issue we had, nobody came to fix it, nobody followed up, so we had cold showers This place has gone downhill - I know COVID has probably played a part, but after encountering Ty, there’s no way this place will operate as smoothly as it did before in this economy under his...
Read moreUpdate : This location never planned to give me my incidental fees back. I had to get the pending $60 canceled by cash app people. Mind you it had already been 2 weeks since my stay. So beware. Buckle up here we go.Save yourself. My experience was not good and it mostly had to do with staff members. The place was recently updated so it was in a better condition from what I have heard. The front desk person chose a room for me that was way at the back of the hotel, rendering the internet useless. I called about the internet to no avail. So the first night I had no internet. The way the place is set up the hotel does't connect from one side to the other. Moving rooms was a pain for that reason alone. The other issue with the first room was the sink not draining. The hotel is located near my daughters job and apparently the shuttle would not drive her across the busy street. From what staff members said the shuttle is only for groups go figure. I waited til the next morning to switch rooms thinking that the internet just was not going to work. Like magic the next room at the front of the hotel had perfect internet service, and the sink drained like normal. It has been almost 2 weeks since I checked out of the 3 nights I spent there. There is a $20 incidental hold, I asked if that is for every single night no matter how long the staff and was given a firm yes. Now after checking out almost two weeks ago, I still have not been refunded. I called a few days ago, but was more than understanding about it being a Holliday weekend. After calling the front desk help her name was Cally rhymes with alley and asking to speak to the GM or manager. She took it upon herself to tell me that since I used my Cashapp card for the incidentals that this was the reason for the delay. The charge is pending and not finalized on their end. This isn't my first stay. Guess what at Aloft, I haven't had this problem, my incidentals are immediately refunded using the same card. This is a shady business practice holding guests money in their account as a pending charge forever. Excuse after excuse on why it 's not being refunded. I can't speak for other locations but this one is a no in my book. I am now having to call Marriot corporate to get my...
