I’ve been coming here for years and love the food, especially the sweet crisps. However, my most recent experience was disappointingly unpleasant and I was almost made to feel as if I was being problematic or a disturbance and unwanted just by dining in. I chose to come here for a late lunch after working over 8 hours and another customer continually stared at me the entire time, just staring with disgust, which I can ignore. - but the issue escalated when she apparently complained to management about the volume of the show I was viewing on my phone, now this is something that has never been an issue in the past but coincidentally the same lady who couldn’t keep her eyes off of me from the start made it an issue. I’m also especially disappointed in how the staff and management handled this situation, very unprofessional and biased in my opinion. I ultimately decided to take my food to-go, making me have to wait longer to eat my now cold food. I should be able to enjoy my meal in any establishment without feeling harassed with someone else’s eyes, all to end up being told that I was a disturbance from that same person. I will definitely take my business elsewhere and will not be back. The management should consider training or evaluation to be better prepared on how to handle customer situations as...
Read moreI made an out of the way trip to eat at this location to support a North Texas Wildlife Center fundraiser happening that day. But, the first person I interacted with didn't know anything about anything! How to handle the transaction, or to answer simple questions about their menu. Person 2 was slightly more knowledgeable about the menu but was from a different location & didn't know about the fundraiser. Person 3 seemed to be in charge, but he barely knew more than the others it seemed. When I asked what portion of my purchase NTWC would get, he replied they'd get 25% if they met a minimum threshold. I asked what they'd get if they didn't meet the threshold, and his reply was there were other compensations. That felt squirrelly so I asked what kind. Get this ... They will get gift certificates to eat Corner Bakery Cafe food! I'm sure the wildlife will appreciate their menu, if someone can answer their basic questions! 🙄 Also, noticed employees were super quick to bash corporate. Definitely not appetizing performance, so I left. Doubt I'll...
Read moreUPDATE July 2021 Back again with lots of other customers for weekend lunch. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We lucked out and got a shaded parking spot on hot summer day. We both got a soup and 1/2 sandwich combo along with splitting delicious lemon bar dessert. Be sure to join their loyalty club to get discounts. UPDATE Jul 2020. OooRah! Yes, they are open for dining in during virus crises. We haven't been to this location in forever as there is another one closer to home. Not many customers inside/outside for Sun lunch although they are taking the usual virus precautions; masks, sanitizer, table separation, etc. EARLIER REVIEW BEFORE VIRUS CRISES: We have been to many Corner bakery locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Always good with lunch and friends and family. And have one or more of their delicious cookies afterwards. Bumped rating up to 5 stars as we find a lot of consistently good service at all locations. We came today for the free sandwich or panini along with purchase of similar item. And they have caffeine free...
