Dunkin has really gone south. I assumed it was a blessing when this location opened up right around the corner from me because I used to travel to the Garland/Centerville location on Sundays to get their donuts. Well, I still travel there!!! Murphy DD is not the DD I'm accustomed to.
None of the classic favorites that we love are still offered (apple crumb donuts, strawberry powdered, fresh apple fritters, GOOD and FRESH glazed, a variety of fresh munchkins -- SIMPLE STAPLES). No matter what time of day we go (and we are very early risers, so the donuts should be fresh if we arrive prior to 8am), these donuts are usually stale and gross. The sugar is usually moist and wet looking. The powder sugar looks like old caked on, wet clumps instead of powdery and smooth. The donuts are ALWAYS wrinkled and sweaty looking as if they have been sitting opened in the rain... and they are not very tasty. I assumed the first time this happened it was just a bad batch. They were not eaten. Every time we go, the outcome is the same...so we stopped going for anything but muffins, which are pretty good. I've sent pics to corporate of the ugly and nasty donuts and complained about the lack of selection and very limited variety, yet never heard back.
The young staff members at the window are not engaging (except for one African American lady who may be the manger since she seems to be the most mature and take charge person in the restaurant - She constantly smiles and is very accommodating- always says "you have a great day sweetheart and God bless you"...she is the reason for 2 stars being given. If I could rate her separately, she'd get 5). The other workers seem to have more phone watching, inside jokes, and socializing with one another going on than customer interaction. They do not attempt to go above and beyond, and are simply "there." I ordered catering for my staff a few weeks ago. When I arrived at 545AM, there was no "good morning and thank you." There was a disturbed look when I asked for more napkins since I had maybe 6 in the bag and ordered over 20 muffins. I had to ask for more...twice....before getting almost enough to accommodate my order. Seems like they are charged for handing out napkins. It has happened more than once, which is ridiculous. Social skills are absent for some. Maybe they sit on social media all day and cannot perform in person interactions well.
The owner really needs to revamp. If you love the old fashion favorites and service DD is known for, this isn't a place you should visit. If you are not big on fresh donuts, the well known DD variety, or good service by adults who are social towards anyone other than their...
Read moreUnfortunately I am a huge Dunkin supporter and admittedly I spend way too many mornings at Dunkin for breakfast and Coffee. So much so that some locations in Plano and McKinney know me by name. I absolutely despise this location. I even went as far as to say that I would stop going to it although it is only a mile from my office. I have intentionally gone out of my way to stop at other locations to avoid the poor service and inaccuracies of my order. However there are days where I am in a time crunch and end up begrudgingly having to stop at this location and they NEVER fail to let me down.
My order is simple 2 croissants toasted with butter and a Medium Iced Coffee. I even pay more at this location than others in the area and they still let me down. Lol. This morning I ordered on the app, the EXACT SAME order that I order at every other Dunkin, pay almost $3 more than I do at EVERY other Dunkin and my order is still incorrect.
When I walk in the store, I am NEVER greeted…not that it’s necessary however that is the beginning of Customer Service.
I point out that my order is incorrect AGAIN and the person looks at me and asks “What do you want me to do?”
I’m assuming that this must be a franchise and not a corporate store. Due to my regular visits at Dunkin, I have overheard some of the conversations between District Managers and Store Managers and it seems as though Customer Service is highly stressed throughout. My guess is that the Management and staff at this location either do not have those conversations or simply do not care to follow the basic practices of Customer Service 101.
I am going to do everything in my power to NEVER visit this location again, however I’m certain that I will be in a bind and need my caffeine fix and they will follow through with higher prices, worst service and an incorrect order wrapped up with a bad attitude.

Read moreLocally owned Duncan Donuts and is horrible. First time I went here I had to wait 5 minutes before the person working finished her cell phone conversation to come around the counter & take my order. Next time I came here I thought they had white mocha syrup but realized once my order was made they don't & only have mocha syrup. I explained that I didn't realize it would be mocha, never touched the drink made and asked for a different iced coffee. She then tried charging me for the other coffee saying it was my mistake & not theirs. I was shocked b/c it's literally an iced coffee but she finally said ok and didn't charge me. The other girl behind the counter complained the whole time while making new my drink saying it was my fault to her manager. Then once I get home to eat my donuts I realized they gave me the wrong donuts! I call them to say my donuts were wrong and I want to come back to get the correct ones & verify they have what I'm coming back for. The lady tells me to keep my donuts & come back tomorrow but I told her I'm coming back now. Once I arrive back, I show the lady the donuts bought were wrong b/c I didn't want them giving me anymore problems, she takes the donuts back and then gives me the correct ones. No place takes food back like that and I got this weird feeling that she planned on putting the uneaten donuts back on the shelf. I'm also 9 months pregnant and just the overall rudeness from the workers at this location...
