Eddie's was fantastic! We found this little gem thru Yelp and it did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated promptly. It's clean and busy and lots of people talking and eating. Our waitress (sorry, I didn't catch her name) was great! When we told her it was our first time, she was gentle and loving....j/k. She offered recommendation and they were really her own recommendations. Not some script she was rattling off or had been forced to memorize. I took her advice and got the Eddie's Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries. Wow! Great sandwich. If you like buffalo chicken wings, you'll love this. Hand breaded right there(I asked) and fresh. Nice Frank's style buffalo sauce. Bleu cheese crumbles (just the right amount. Not to much and not to little. ) on a brioche style bun. Lettuce, tomatoes, and a nice pickle spear on the side. And the fries! I'm not a fries phenom, but I'm married to one, so I should get some cred there. They are fantastic. My buddy had one of their 1/2 pound burgers. I don't remember what it was named, but it had bacon and onion rings and cheese and bbq sauce and he couldn't say enough. Really, he was too busy eating his burger (and my fries). He said the patty was cooked perfectly and by the smile on his face I could tell he really liked it. He was "good" and got a side salad with his burger and it was very nice too. I am not familiar with Plano and was lucky to stumble upon this place. You can bet...
Read morePretty good, but a little uneven
We tried Eddie’s for the first time in a long while. While the service was attentive, the quality of the food was uneven. My pancakes were good, but the biscuits with sausage gravy scramble bowl was a letdown. There was almost no meat, and the hash browns had an unpleasant taste like they were fried in old oil. That taste overwhelmed everything else in the bowl.
My wife’s plate was also uneven. While she liked her rye toast and fried egg, her bacon was fatty to the point that she only ate one of the two pieces. She didn’t eat but a few bites of her hash browns because she has an aversion to the ‘fried in old oil’ taste. FWIW, I recognize that taste from working in an IHOP long ago while in college. The cooks would use the same container of an oily butter like liquid on the griddle for just about everything that might stick, and this is the taste you ended up with after the same mop brush was used over and over on the big griddle from that same container.
Bottom line, we could have overlooked the other issues if the hash browns hadn’t tasted so ‘off’. We’ll likely be back, but we would skip the hashbrowns next time. We would also try to avoid the booth with the ripped up seat we...

I LOVE this restaurant and it’s very near and dear to my heart.
Not once have I ever had a bad experience with their food, customer service or employees. You can truly feel the love in this establishment.
I am a regular of the waitress “Sparkle” and I do not go to any other server. Not because they aren’t excellent because all of their servers are excellent but simply because I cherish her and I have built such a strong relationship with her.
My Godmother who is celiac can eat here without getting cross contamination and that happens to her often which is another plus.
I will he coming to this establishment until I am old and gray. This is what southern hospitality means and this place makes me proud to be Texan.
Food is ALWAYS hot! Never had hair in my food, never didn’t taste great!
Portions are large so they are big enough to share as well as your kids splitting a meal to save on money!
Please come to Eddie’s you will not be...
