I had multiple members of my executive team fly in to visit, and I had a miscommunication with the big boss about coordinating a team lunch for everyone to catch up. I thought he was coordinating, he thought I was taking care of it. 12:15 rolls around and he calls my cell âhey are we still doing lunch?â (Iâm at another location at the time, and heâs been in meetings doing high level strategic decision making for the entire company all morning)
By the end of that sentence, I knew I messed up. I awkwardly explain how I thought he was taking care of it.
I spring into action ensuring him Iâm on top of it, and that the fuel they need to run the company will be there soon.
Who do I call? Jasonâs Deli.
I explain the situation I cornered myself into, to the lady on the phone. âHow quick can you get me sammiches to feed 20 people?!â
Lady: gimme about 20 minutes.
Me: lock it in, and letâs roll. Thank you!!
I quickly inform my counterpart in charge of the site to take delivery of the goods.
Counterpart: âhow many ya get food fer?â
Me: 20
Counterpart: *extremely mild concern that it will be enough
I panick and call Jasonâs deli back.
âHey Iâm the guy in a pickle that just called. Can we up the order to 30??â
Lady (calm cool and collected): moving the phone slightly away from her, I hear her call out to her team who I picture fearlessly throwing the sammich plates together to get me out of a bind. âNeed 10 more!!!!!â She shifts her attention back to me. âWeâll have it ready sirâ
Me: âTHANK YOU!!â
It must be a record. From the time I received the distress call to the time the food was served, exactly 31 minutes had elapsed.
I received some good natured poking and prodding, and everyone walked away with full stomachs, ready to tackle the next huge business decision.
To the lady who answered the call, and all the folks behind the scenes making it happen, a big THANKS for making...
Read moreThe food was great, but I cannot get behind how the server treated us. Me and a friend both babysit two different families and decided to let the kids eat together at jasons.
Everything was fine until the server came out to bring us the orders. We did two separate orders to pay for our own kids we brought. She came up, put the plate in front of the wrong person, and when i respectfully corrected her she made a face and recklessly started handling our food. after that she picked up the wrong number tent and when being corrected again (my friend hadnât gotten her order yet so that wouldve thrown everything off) she told us we were wrong and her receipt said 12 not 2. She then proceeded to show us the receipt which said 12 and threw THE CORRECT number tint onto the table again. When she came back out to bring my friend and her kids their food she continued to drop utensils on the table and recklessly handle food. When she was thanked she gave us a look and turned away.
this employee is a woman with boy short hair and black glasses. every other employee in this establishment was kind.
The food was great im just very disappointed in todayâs experience as this isnt my...
Read moreEvidently, the normal location that I use for delivery is closed for renovations. Automatically switched me to this location. I ordered the new harvest turkey sandwich, The turkey itself was old and didnât taste very good. This is not to mention the fact that there was hardly any turkey on the sandwich, one piece of sliced cheese and the skimpiest serving of mayonnaise. I believe Iâve ever had, The bread was hard and not fresh. The sandwich came with no pickle Realize or chips. it was overall a terrible experience. I should mention that this order came from Uber Eats, the only thing I can say to Jasonâs Deli, is that if you are not making enough money off your cut from Uber Eats then stop letting Uber Eats use your restaurant for delivery. I can almost guarantee you from my experience with all the Jasons deli. Iâve been to over the last 15 years that I would never get such piss poor sandwich in store or on a takeout order. Also, it should be noted that since my location was closed that probably indicates that this location is busier than normal, if the manager cannot keep up with the increase demand then thatâs a...
