Would not recommend this burger joint unless you have a lot of time to spare and are willing to deal with random levels of service.
My experience here was less than ideal and the food was to match. The place was a mess to say the very least. My order was a Chapli Kebab Burger combo with curly fries. As you can see in my picture I was not given any curly fries on my to-go order.
The experience is what really gave this place its infamous place in my review. I walked into this establishment at 12:07 PM and was the first in line. Behind me, a rushed woman carrying a large thermos with a pump. I assumed she worked here and she went around me and greeted the employee as the woman who works next door and needed 7 cups of chai. I would assume any normal employee would have said something to the tune of, "Sure, but let me get to your after I help this gentleman at the front of the line." But no, she proceeded to debate the actual volume of the thermos and what the cost will be. I sat there for another 3 minutes before she was done with the thermos lady. The cashier then greets A DIFFERENT customer on the other side of the front where another register is and my jaw drops at the audacity of this server/hostess. I was finally greeted by another employee coming from the kitchen who mumbled everything she said quietly so I had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times before I made my order for the chapli burger and fries.
I proceed to sit down and note that it is exactly 12:12 PM. I can see the kitchen was busy filling a very large catering order but it appeared as for in-house customers, I was 2nd in line. After 30 minutes a staff member notices I have no food and thinks I'm the catering order waiting to pick up where he finds out that I have been waiting for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I was needed back at work by 1PM and told him that if the food wasn't out by 12:45, I'd need to leave so it may be best to cancel the order. He rushes to the kitchen to find out what was the hold up where after 3 minutes, I walk to the front and ask for a refund. The lady server goes and checks on the food and the two staff members then inform me that the burger has been done for little, but they didn't have any fries so they were starting a new batch and they asked me to wait. I refused and said I needed to leave immediately as my lunch was shortly coming to an end. They said, it would be "on the house", which it wasn't as they didn't refund my money.
I was dumbfounded by the staff's shortcoming but this was most likely no one individual's fault. I was handed a bag which felt EXTREMELY light for what I ordered, to which I found there were no fries.
I got home and took a bite out of the "burger" to find a mouth full of unfitting flavors. This was an indo-pak'esk kebab dressed (barely) as a burger. The flavors weren't bad alone, but together, wasn't an ideal meal. The sweet flavors of the grilled bun didn't pair well with the savory and spicy flavors of cultural seasonings. The burger was dry for the most part and really needed some vegetation to compliment the kebab. A light padding of lettuce would of done the trick. I couldn't finish it as my first bite had what was either the driest piece of fennel I've seen or a stem from some veggie that was definitely not in my burger. I found hard bits of what seemed to be beef cartilage. But it was large enough to make me not want to finish it and gave me an unpleasant experience with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsed to enjoy eating here (dine in and take out), but the last 3 times have been awful. This last time we ordered to go for a dinner party and I was met with rude customer service. The lady who seems to be the āmanagerā has the worst attitude. Not friendly, did not seem to even be bothered to answer questions about portion sizes for catering etc. When asked about something on their menu online, she automatically said they do not do a dinner package for 8-10 people, however I was able to order it online in front of her through the website in that moment. Makes absolutely no sense. Either way, against my better judgement and trying to give them a 3rd time to get it right, I ordered for my party via a la carte (instead of the package).
When we went to pick up 1. Our food wasnāt ready, they made us wait an additional 30 mins from the stated time, which ended up making my guests/party have to wait for their food. Can you imagine inviting people over for dinner and thereās no dinner (also ordered appetizers through them - so quite literally no food, so embarrassing) 2. Once we get there they tell us that they do not have goat they only have chicken and beef. Mind you the goat is extra and they said they ācalled usā to let us know. There was no call, no voicemail, no message, nothing. Not even through the app we placed the order with. They did not refund us the difference either. And I ordered multiple items of this since āthey donāt do the dinner packageā.
As far as them fixing issues in the past, I have called and they have given me the āIām sorry maāam, Iāll make sure we do better next time, or Iāll let the kitchen staff knowā yet thereās no actual action going behind those words.
Going forward I wonāt be eating here. Unfortunately, sometimes when you give a restaurant multiple times to rectify their service, customer relationship, and food and thereās no change then it is on you. Dollars speak volumes so I will not be spending my money at this establishment. I may be only one, single person, but I stand by principle and doing the right thing no matter if youāre an individual or a company. There are plenty of other restaurants that you can cater from or eat that have better food and...
