This is the third time in a row I’ve had a bad experience here.
First issue- I always use the app and it has a glitch that doesn’t correctly list store hours and let’s you place an order when the store is closed (without knowing it). My card was charged regardless and the store told me it could not be fixed- the first time I came back the next morning to redeem a “credit” and they were out of the topping I ordered… the second time was this morning. I waited 15 minutes for the store to open only to walk in and find out what I ordered was not even available.
Second issue- happened today, but they don’t have boba during all opening hours. I understand it takes time to make but it’s their most popular topping. I would not have ordered here if I knew this and could not wait, nor could they give me a partial refund.
Third- employees are hit or miss but most are friendly… however. There have been several times I have approached the right side of the counter to pick up a pre-paid, online order and just been 100000% ignored, ending up waiting anywhere from 10-20 minutes for the ice to melt and integrity of the drink to weaken. I understand there is a long line sometimes - if they have time to make it during rush, do they not have 5 seconds to hand it over the counter?
This is just not the place I want to continue to spend money. I also agree with the other reviewer about the Thai tea- it is not orange nor flavored right, do...
Read moreThey ran out of Strawberry Shortcake medium cups and I didn’t know until after I recieved my drink with a War of the Rohirrim cup and then went up to the counter to ask why. I understand inventory is out of the stores control but I would think if I was ordering the Strawberry Dreams Promotion Drink I’d also be expecting/wanting the promotional cup. I would have ordered a Large had I been notified they were out of SBSC cups in medium. Totally put a downer on my visit here because that was what I came here for. We were also under the impression that the hot coffee cup on the counter was the size we’d be recieving since it was the only size. The barista taking our order confirmed it was the only size when we pointed to it and when we ordered they did not ask for a size but when we recieved our hot coffee it was a very obviously smaller size than the display cup. An 8oz VS 12-14oz difference. The Strawberry Dreams drink was very yummy otherwise. Expensive compared to the other shops in the area but thats out of the stores control since they’re a chain. Read moreI got turned onto KFT with a T-Mobile offer , which expired within 48 hours, so I didn't get to use it. I've always been curious about bubble/Boba teas, so I decided to give it a shot. After looking over their extensive app menu, placed 3 drink orders, only to get a call shortly to tell me they were out of the Red Bean add-on topping. I just got the 2 & left a note for the manager to refund me. That was almost 2 weeks ago. After 2 more in person visits, I learned owner have been out of town, which is why they're low on many of their ingredients, including red bean & taro AND why I've not heard back about my refund. Well, why didn't they tell me that 2 weeks ago? And why can you still order drinks in the app with ingredients they're out of? The manager today offered to give me a complimentary drink (large fruit slush) & I agreed to forget the other refund.
It's a cute store with friendly & efficient staff. However, their whole drink menu just had a price increase. I enjoy a Boba Tea or a Fruit Slush, but at average $6 each, they were already costly before the price hike. Yet people think Starbucks is expensive? Well, don't start a bubble tea...
